I have recently starting creating a new map. It will be my first published map but I have made some before without publishing. I have also played a lot of other created maps. I am making this map as big as possible. I want you to know about it before I publish it so you can give me your thoughts on it before I start doing some serious work on it. Below is a little sneak peek to show you part of it:

That isn't even half of it, it will be a lot bigger with a lot more territories. But that is not all! The real reason I wanted to bring this to you guys is to ask about something I might wright for the map. I am thinking about (in the description)writing full info about the map. Such as history and geography of all the territories. I am hoping this would add some spice to the level so you can visualize the territories while you are playing. The reason I am asking you though is to see if you would actually be interested, and not waste my time by ignoring it. I haven't been on this website long, so I don't know how serious all of the members are. I would really enjoy writing this for you though, so please let me know in this thread if you would really be interested in this.

seems like something from africa with canary islands maybe, spain and azores
and if that's a small part seems very interesting because the massive ammounts of territories would make it really complex

Thanks for your reply. Actually it is a totally fictional map, I was just making stuff up as I went. And I'm glad you think it is cool, but I am also looking for everyone's opinion on me writing the history and geography for every territory. Like in the description I will talk about what happened to that territory before the map started. For example:

"Africa is the world's second largest and second most populous continent, after Asia. At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area." -Wikipedia, article on Africa

That is a small example of what I will be writing about the territories. I probably won't go into how exactly big each territory is, but I will be talking about the history and a not very complicated geography of the planet.

I would like it but i think if you went in too much depth it causes people to focus less on the map, and i think basic statistics would be cool; also i think its really good that ur making it up from scratch; people will have to use new strategies rather than using their own knowledge of the map's geography (real or fiction)

also how far are you in making it and when will you post the map?

I know, I just wanted to have a small paragraph of history for a few of the countries.

I hope to have it done in about 2-3 days from now, depending on how much free time I can find to finish it. So expect it closer to 3 because it is a big map.
