The host has made quite a few in the past.
Hes upfront about it, so it might not be that bad. Thoughts?

I think if the creator explicitly states that the game is rigged, its completly OK.

I agree too. I wonder what Fizzer thinks.

@Taran, that and this is not the exact same case. Rigged Lottery is generally disguised as lottery and thus is unmoral. Here we are talking about a game where it has "Rigged Lottery ...." in the title + a info in the description explaining. Things like this is in a gray-zone in my opinion. A official clarification from Fizzer certently would not hurt.

Still... don't make rigged lotteries. They are dumb, imh. Play games, and you level up fast. (As long as you are not diplo only....)

I assumed you were referencing this situation in answer to "there was a guy that kept making rigged lottos, but the message in the game was something like "by joining you are accepting the fact that this is a rigged lotto and cant report me" or "even if it says in the personal message not to report"

If you feel like someone is cheating, report them. Then it will be looked into.

To take this case into a more hypothetical discussion. Say we banned games that had "Rigged Lottery" in the title. Would we then also ban "Give me points plz" titles? and "I win this game on dist, gib points plz" etc. etc.

My point is, the is a line somewhere, but I am not sure where. But if players enjoy joining rigged lotteries, knowing what they are doing, who am I to say that is wrong. IMH, if they are having fun, what is the trouble?

I think rigged lotteries are ok as long as they have "Rigged lotto" in title and information in description (like game linked in first post). These games could i.e. help diplo player get lvl 47 and create their own diplomacy games.

On the other hand, I once joined game named "Lotto" that had custom scenario where everyone get 0 armies at start and 0 income except host that get 2 armies and took bonus on turn 2. Games like these are reportable.

Who's the nut saying keywords are not allowed? Anyway, It does't seem so concerning. Thinks always require clarification before joining a match, sure. I'd like to point out. If you';re actually joining a lottery to be competitive, then you know what you signed up for. If you're joining an obviously rigged match, you know very well you're going to get competitive if you lose. Just expect to lose.

I think people should read settings before joining any game. There are even icons when you play on a CPU that indicates clearly what major changes there are in the game (type of distribution, cards, overridden bonuses, etc.). I don't see how illegal or even how un-ethical theses "rigged" lottos can be. People just have to read settings before joining a game and if they don't well, too bad for them.

I personally never join "custom scenario" games and I am extremely vigilant when I see "overridden bonuses" icon or 0 armies per turn as base income. When I change a bit some stuff in my strategic games or in more casual ROR games, I will write in the title of my game "read settings" and in the destription of the game too I will put "read settings". Even by doing so, I often have guys that try to blame me for not having being enough precise about the changes I made...So seriously, in certain situations, people need to stop complaining in my opinion and read settings before joining a game, in particular if the host writes in the description of the game and/or in the public messages "read settings".
