Thank you for taking the time to visit this thread. I have finished a diplomacy project, and I wish to share it with the Warlight community. I am looking for the 33 best diplomacy players in Warlight to play on the new 1653 European Diplomacy scenario I have created. My goal is to have this game go for a year, at least, without any boots or surrenders. Before you assume I have gone crazy, be aware that like I said, I am looking for the 33 best diplomacy players in WL to fill this game, meaning players that do not surrender or get booted. Not to mention, boot time will be 5 days (yes I know it is a long time) but with the best players, it will rarely be needed, it is strictly a last resort precaution to make sure no one accidentally gets booted. Vacations will also be honored to make sure this game continues with no one being removed, to keep the realism factor. My plan to find the best players in Warlight is simple, I need people to sign up below in the thread, saying they wish to join. I will make a series of diplomacy games with these people to judge a multitude of things: if they will get booted, if they fail to communicate and have relations with other players, and if they surrender just because they lose a battle. Before you ask any questions, please take them time to read the Google Doc below that included everything you need to know about the game.

If you wish to join, let me know below!!

If you have any suggestions to make the template better, please let me know!! Same with if you happen to have any questions regarding anything about the template, document, or the whole idea itself!

Thank you all for being a great community, I hope we can make this an enjoyable experience and grow the influence of diplomacy in Warlight and bring the community closer together!

By forcing the rebels (Cossacks) to surrender. I am also thinking about adding in the Dutch-Portuguese war in the Indies but I don't want to make it too hectic

I would like to join.
Rule 2.13. should only count in a defense war imo.
About the section cards, I prefer them to be negative so they will function as trade agreements.

CBerkley10, There is a new map version with fixed connections, make sure to use the new version. Also is it posible to have no giftcards in the game?

gift cards are needed because realistically, allies could send troops to other countries to fight, and unless you have a border, soemtimes allies cannot help, so this makes it more realistic in that sense

I think gift cards will defenetly make the game less realistic. As far as I know, in the 17th century almost all wars where betwean neaboring (or close by) countries or where colony wars.

Can you name a war on european ground where a far-off country had a major impact on a war?

Im saying, lets say Poland is at war with Habsburg Dominions, and France is helping Habsburg, France has no connection to Poland, so French troops would march through Habsburg to get to Poland to fight. Since you cannot do that in WL without taking territory, this allows Habsburg to simulate French troops moving to the frontlines by placing them there via gift cards.

It also allows for land trades if for some reason the countries involved in the trade do not have a border in a certain area.

"Polish–French relations were nascent until the 18th century, due to geographical distance and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth's lack of involvement in the wars of Western Europe. "

Having no gift cards so france can not attack poland will definitely make it more realistic.

the france-poland thing was just an example, im not saying they ever fought, im just saying if Team A is at war with Team B and Team C is helping Team A but does not border Team B, then using gift cards would simulate marching through Team A's territory to fight Team B. But that is really confusing isnt it, hence why i just used random countries in my example.....

But thats the point, in the 17th century countries did not fight fight wars if they dont border them, so if Team A is at war with Team B and Team C can not help Team A because its to far away, than that will be realistic.

Thats not true at all, there were lots of wars fought by nonneighboring countries when people would help allies.
