I'm working on a huge map. estimated territories >250. I'm still wondering how do you make a real world map without copy paste large map and smaller maps all over the canvas and then redraw it?

Downloading svg is a bad idea for me, because i should use the exactly same map, not the world map. For me, using same map would be better so it will more accurate (i.e. making provinces/states, meanwhile the svg only serve countries, if i copy-paste the world map from google map, the shapes aren't the same)

I`m not sure what you are asking here, but if you want to know if real-world maps are made with a picture or something underneed it so the shapes are correct. Yes, I think most maps where drawn over from a picture and then the bonuses where made inside of it.

Again no idea what you are trying to ask, but if you are searching for a way to get this without using an svg everytime, then use a picture from the internet, put in in the svg and draw over it.

It might be that your questrion is if we draw province and territories apart and later put them together. I would personally not advise this, but I guess it could be a method, but certainly not the fastest or easiest one.
