I think folk have really the wrong and kind of naive outlook on this. Voters can rig stuff but what's way way way way way easier to do is for those who count the votes to rig it.

Also it's never clearly been sourced (to me, anyway) what dead folk vote.

frankly I don't think it's even about vote rigging with identity fraud but, in Russia, it's called "carousel voting", where you vote in one station, then go to another and another and another.
