Summary: 2 vs 2 vs 2 drakemor's world game. All things looked fine and dandy, no cards, random team, instant surrender and fast players only. Unfortunately, my teammate surrendered within 10 seconds of the game launching, even before picking territories, without saying a word.

I asked whether we could end the game after which two players from both teams said they didn't want to. I didn't want to surrender, and was especially disappointed by their lack of fair play. One of them in particular was rude, regardless: I wiped the floor with both teams.

I had my way with their fragile little buttocks so hard they didn't speak a word when they quit the game, the second team (after i finished the first one) didn't commit, wouldn't surrender and would have been booted long before i did because of autoboot.

Either way:

You don't want any of those people for team mates.

Shame on you el toro, rusich, majko333, kike10 and juggalo.

P.S My account suffers from degraded performance after a warning i received weeks ago. If you don't want me in this game just ban me. Throwing random errors after giving a warning and a semblance of a second chance isn't quite nice. Yes: saying i was going to make a pet project out of someone and turn them into the online posterchild for a childrapist society might have crossed the line a little, but have you even looked at the little cheats that roam around warlight these days?

Told. Off.

Man, I love a good revenge story. You wanted to make nice and they refused, then, boom! You win.

I take it the errors you referred to at the end were 'Could Not Connect' errors? If so, I get those as well for no apparent reason.

God we really need a forum for complaints. This board has become a dumping ground for people whining every time they are booted or slighted in any way.

Nobody really cares.

As the game itself expands, so should the forum. Maybe a more advanced(typical) forum style. A link to an off site Warlight forum maybe? Fizzer and maybe two or three more Randy selected + time tested community members could moderate it to keep newcomers like myself from spamming.
Would be interesting to see the ever growing group, coupled by a place to realistically talk about all things warlight, risk and strategy.

^Not quite a suggestion, so much as it is what I believe would be both effective and simple.

I understand that people will be annoyed when someone pulls a fast one on them. I have gotten angry over these things myself. I also realize that people won't stop posting here when that happens. However, I have avoided reading the board for the past month because of the recent influx of such threads - most likely due to the increased playerbase. A separate subforum, or something similar, would hopefully help keep the noise out of the General board.

Kleyton... had you read it, he wasn't really complaining... merely pointing out that he managed to beat the two teams against him on his own as a kind of karmic payback and then let people know to avoid them in the future. Seemed reasonable to me...

Fizzer has no need to be passive-aggressive in meting out punishments for violations of the ToS. He'll suspend, he'll ban, he'll forgive, he'll do whatever he feels like, and since this is entirely and utterly his sole creation, he has the right. One thing you can be sure of is that if he punishes you, he'll do it above the board and he'll tell you exactly why. If you're having error messages, it's probably a technical issue, and he'd quite likely appreciate constructive feedback regarding it since the overarching point would be to eliminate the problem for all who face it.

Grats on your game win!

Erick,
the problem in this situation, before having looked at the game, just your summary.. often times when a 3 team game turns into a 2 team game with straggler(s) the teams pretty much ignore the straggler, since they need to concentrate on strengthening themselves and damaging the other team.. this can give the straggler the necessary time to become a force upon itself...

@riotmaker: one could say i caused a riot.

@Richard Sharpe: yes i get mostly "could not connect" errors, however i also get all kinds of other errors, often times i have to take turns twice or have to refresh the game multiple times before being able to join / view a game. This started right after i got a warning, it might be a coincidence, but since "degrading a undesirable users game" would be amongst the most effective things to deter trolls, i figured that was the reason.

@Kleyton Manning: not complaining, not in the least!

@kagami: I agree the community section of warlight could be heavily improved. However, I much rather Fizzer and co work on expanding the game a bit more. I also have no idea how much this game is netting him at the end of the month, I do hope it allows for such improvements to one day be made into reality.

@Kleyton Manning: actually my warning / ban was because i raged during a free for all game where, for reasons unknown to me, two players were willfully blocking me and helping another party. I wasn't complaining about the ban / warning either, i do however feel the last few months have had an increase in : childish / unsportsmanlike behavior amongst many players.

@Richard Sharpe: indeed.

@انتصار: I'm not :)

@devilnis: I can't know for certain, i would be surprised if he hadn't come up with this ban method, as it in fact is the best way to permanently get rid of someone.

@Perrin3088: That is what happened, i grew where possible and retreated whenever necessary so that the two opposing teams would face one another, often attacking after they had attacked each other. I hoped they would fight each other instead of focusing on me, i figure they imagined they could take on a single remaining player no matter what. Oh well, karma.

I'm not trying to bash Zoidberg for this thread, but merely pointing out that the recent trend of people posting bad experiences & telling people they should blacklist XXX and YYY is cluttering up this forum. I agree, this thread on its own is not really terrible / unreasonable, but it still fits the criteria of what I am talking about.

That is why I suggest there be a place designated for this sort of thing. We had a thread a while back but I believe it sunk down a few pages, so nobody uses it anymore.

HAHA The exact same thing just happened to me. My teammate didn't select until past 5 minutes, so I thought he was gone and requested an end. They said no way, but then my mate finally got back and we wiped the floor with them anyways. This one guy then reported me for the HIGHLY offensive language located here:

"How about we just shut up and play now that everyone is here?"

Okay here's what you do:

First get all the ingredients together. You'll need:

*a fifth of nice scotch (I used Dewar's white label but any scotch will do)
*1/2 pound of bacon (get good bacon, don't go cheap)
*a container with a lid that is large enough to hold the liquor
*a funnel (optional but will make your life easier)
*an empty metal can (or anything safe that can hold hot grease)

Okay so first thing you want to do is get your bacon and start frying it up in a pan. After you cook the bacon you want to drain all the fat and grease into your metal can. Next we take the scotch and put it into your container. Once the fat is cooled a bit to a safe temp we add it to the scotch(don't worry you won't be drinking the fat we'll get rid of it in the next step). Put the lid on and shake.

Now let the container sit for about 3 days. On the second day you want to put it in the freezer before you go to bed. The freezing is important because it will freeze the fat but not the scotch. When you opne the container in the morning you will see a layer of white fat that you will skim off. You can use a strainer as well if you want. Now throw away the fat and put your scotch back in your bottle (funnel comes in handy here)

You are now the proud owner of scotch that has a subtle yet distinctive taste of bacon. Get a nice glass and some ice and enjoy. You can even save some of the bacon and use a nice crisp strip for a garnish.

This process can be done for any liquor so feel free to experiment. Let me tell you, bloody marys made with bacon infused vodka are out of this world.

Anyhow I hope this helps.
