Hello , ive got simple question. Is it easier to get into good clan , prtending that im newbie, or just b e honest? Im about to going back to game soon, but my boot rate is very high and also win ratio is low, mostly due to problems with internet life , and playing too much lottery games. My ego wants to throw this account away and create new one to "farm wins" and going up with clear mind to good clan, as well as training with better pepole. Ive won few small tournaments on this account , but i dont feel connected to this account by now.

My first view if someone wants to join:

ladder stats...
Here I see that you did participate and had 1545 elo, which isnt that bad.

I think a new account could lead to a better mindset , however I wouldn't "farm wins" on your new account.

1545 elo

2 things wrong with this:

1) It wasn't 1545 it was 1575

2) the ladder doesn't have elo points, the ladder has Bayesian elo. THERES A DIFFERENCE!

My bad, you are right. Lets start OFFTOPIC about the ladder point system. xD
Make the point system GREAT AGAIN.

What I wanted to say, I would recommend to stick with your old account and work the stats up.
They do not look that bad... every good clan might set-up some try-out games anyway. I think starting with a new account wouldnt increase your chances to get into a good clan.

1545 vs. 1575 is irrelevant.

Elo vs. bayesian elo, also irrelevant.

More relevant is Apollo needing to try and look witty by trying, poorly, to correct someone in 101st and kick fuel into a fire that should have long ago been put out.

I'm sick of every thread that has Outlaws and 101st and/or Lynx posters in it devolving into a shitfest.

Hello Forbidden Koala! I would never miss a Koala from the old Illuminati days :)

But first, you didn't seem to say what you are looking for in a clan other then a good clan. You seem open to trying something new, let us all help you find the right clan for you.

Ok i hate Krunx. Hes a degenerate. But Apollo is just trying to start shit. So Krunx miswrote something. No need to be a dick about it just to try to delegitimize him because he's 101st.

Everyone knows you get an inverted boner everytime you see 101st. Calm down.

I'm just going to talk to some 101st members and see if we can start trying to respect each other atleast in the eyes of the public because this is certainly not where it belongs the drama starting by childish overthought reasons..especially when it gets started by the most babyish of things.

If we could move on to the main topic now that would be nice and If anyone at all mentions 101st/Outlaws or Lynx can be labelled as a shit starter ;)

Away from that , I recommend that you may need some guidance , You seem a bit confused about what to do! "Should I start over" etc,,, It's like picking a career you need to have someone you can realistically talk to to help with career development , Same applies here about finding you a clan with experienced players who can guide you as well as train you. I would recommend like Hydra or FCC to give you the strategy and Community needs at least for he start!

If you feel you want to go more on the strategic path , Go for the training clans option, It's however you feel.

I would recommend Apprentices or Hydra. They're both good clans. FCC is absolute trash.

Hello Great Expanse! Well its theoriticaly thinking of creating 2nd alt which bootrate wont skyrocket. And also i wanna see how my winratio is actually doing after a brake. As for good clan i think of:
-Clan League Activity (last Iluminati league was epic)
-Trainings (well if i have tournaments , its nice to have someone to do trainings, and before clan tournament)
-High requirements (yeah my ego is high)
In my opinion there are lots of good clans.
And i agree ladder is important thing.

Different clans offer different styles of learning, each with their own merits.
  • Training clans like Outlaws, GGr and 101st seem to focus the most on a game analysis method of self improvement where collectively the clan uses its best players to teach their lower players. As far as I can tell, this is more independent approach then a clan wide approach. It requires intiative on the part of players to be engaged.
  • Larger clans like FCC, Hydra and CORP have a more unstructured approach where the clan offers large clan-run leagues for activity and to get people playing each other. This approach is less hands on but one-on-one games and tutoring can still happen although it isn't a priority for the clan's management.

All these clans offer community, but the way you want to engage with them is different. Hydra and 101st/Lynx use Discord. FCC, Outlaws, Apprentice/Masters use Skype. CORP uses a game chat and clan forums. I don't know about GG/GGr but I would guess skype or game chat.

The main advantage to Discord is a more structured approach to chatting with a clan server having multiple channels with topics so you can more easily follow along on relevant topics. Skype has an unstructured approach where, depending on the chat's activity, you can have hundreds or thousands of messages each day to go through meaning you miss things that might have been relevant. But Skype still is where the majority of active warlighters are. People tend to use Discord and Skype or just Skype. Its a one-way street unfortunately. But that's my little explanation of the chat situation on warlight.

Lastly, to the question of making a new account, I don't know if it really matters to make a new account. If the point is you are going to be active on warlight and not get booted anymore, then why make a new account? Its not like your boot rate will be reflective anymore of how you play. Unless you play a lot of open games, your boot rate wont come up much.

I would disagree with the notion that FCC is "less structured". It certainly is a larger clan, especially now with the ElC player core now residing within it, but it divides it's players into orders based off of interest. The FCC has game chats for its orders, and a Skype chat for is general communication. (Although the order of maps uses Skype predominantly these days.) There have been a bunch of suggestions to create an FCC discord chat, which is a definite possibility as the clan has grown larger with more diverse preferences, however, it isn't on our immediate radar with Clan League looming. The FCC isnt explicitly seeking recruits at this time, however, if you are interested, feel free to give me a PM!

Considering you were likely a past member of Illuminati, Hydra seems to fit for you :P

Chat apps matter because why join a clan if you have no interest in using what the clan uses to communicate?
