any idea on what the template will be yet?

Hopefully Fizzer will take a break from local deployment... I like it but I feel like two seasons of it are enough (like with the randomized bonuses). I'm also hoping for a map other than medium earth.

Angle Lust (formerly Nich) did an interesting template in this tournament: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=7154 , in particular:

Random Cities Distribution
Armies per neutral (non distribution): 10
Wastelands: 114
Wasteland size: 2

By swapping wastelands and neutrals, you can get some interesting map layouts.

I also wonder if Fizzer might try a season of cities distribution like the old days I hear about, but it may be unpopular, most of us play warlords these days.

A random teams ladder could be cool!

That looks cool! I like how sometimes you get multiple picks in a single bonus. This creates some interesting situations.

I try to alternate between ME and non-ME.

I'd like to try this too. But this requires code changes to the ladder, since the seasonal ladder currently only supports 1v1s and FFAs.

I liked random bonuses

infrequent airlifts make LD kinda fun

Heee, didn't think Fizzer'd chime in! Based on clues, it should be some sort of LD on ME? obviously we should have at least normal fog... will it be as simple as that? Or will there be an extra wrinkle like randomized bonuses or the addition of an airlift card? Or *gasp* multiattack? (I really hope not multiattack... personal bias)

In any case, I look forward to the announcement! :D
