I predict ill liberal, state that goes downhill

I predict a country that is on fire and crumbling to dust, rather than a state that is on fire and crumbling to dust.

(she said that Russia is invading Korea and that calling Hillary "crooked Hillary" was something Russia made up and told Trump to call her that). This is the type of people on Hillary's side. no wonder she lost.

it would be fucking awesome

but it would not be as liberal as people think. everything other than the coast + sacramento is basically texas. hardcore red neck ignorant republican. the coast + sacramento just has most of the people and so democrats win the statewide and national elections. but at a local level the majority of the landmass of the state is run by and populated with inbred trumptard morons.

it would be great not subsidizing hillbilly idiots in red states and spending our tax dollars in california. we wouldn't need to spend much on defense as we wouldn't be starting wars. my only concern really would be messing with silicon valley. in some ways that's a product of california but in others it's a product of america. the best and brightest all coming here, the open borders and intra-state trade we take for granted.

California has a budget surplus compared to a federal government massive deficit. California sends more money to the feds than they are given. It is one of the most dynamic states and has all of the american tech companies that are today the largest economic advantage the US still has in the world. Also there's a large part of the american but also international scientific brains that live in the state.




An independent California would probably converge to something like a Nordic country rather than a liberal downhill country as Deutsh thinks. Only difference is that it would be the world's 6th economy with still a lot of growth potential.


The truth in America is that a most states are seriously degraded when it comes to economical dependency on federal money, public finances and general living conditions. California, Texas and New York are responsible for a third of the nation's economy. Take any of these out and it's very likely that you'd be in serious trouble.

So California will likely go downhill and the US will have to become fiscally conservative? And the democrats will never win another election?
