So I finally made my way over to Uservoice, and there's some really great suggestions there that hardly have any votes at all. What's the forum's opinion on starting threads to encourage people to go vote for a particular suggestion on Uservoice? On the one hand, I think a lot of great ideas will never get many votes without some kind of advocacy. On the other hand, that could be seen as spammy, especially if people think that such discussions belong on Uservoice itself and not the forum.

Opinions?

No objections here, I think there a lot of good ideas on UV that deserve more attention.

People might also want to subscribe to the Warlight UserVoice feed to see what's going on over there: http://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features.atom

I have no idea what the general feeling is, but personally I think it's great when people speak in favour of their ideas here (and link to uservoice). However, it should be done in moderation.

If someone made a thread called "Check this idea!" and just a link to a uservoice idea, I wouldn't click it. If the idea is so good, the idea pimper should be willing to take a few minutes to advocate it :)

Unless you put your ideas out where people are going to see them, nobody will know to vote for your suggestions. This forum is for all things Warlight, pimp away.

Agreed with Yeon. Advocate for your idea to a reasonable level, do it once and leave it at that.

Don't link to it with a new post every week or chime in on every other post with your idea and UserVoice link when it has no bearing on the topic there. That will only serve to drive people nuts.

As in everything, moderation is key.

To clarify, these aren't my ideas. I haven't submitted any ideas to Uservoice, although there are some already there that I've wished for at times. I'm talking about other people's ideas that might be months old, but that are still good ideas (IMHO).

I usually don't like ads about UV threads, considering it overshadows other ideas their authors aren't too cocky to bring ahead. I usually only mention threads I know to be already posted when there are related questions or suggestions by players who don't know these posts themselves.
Anyway, if it becomes the ethic rule to introduce UV suggestions UV directly in forum threads, let me know : I brought several ideas to UV and I'll then explain why I consider them potential major features...

Imho, the suggestions forum should of remained, purely for us to be able to have a more integrated location for pimping of UV, and discussions about UV items...

Idk about anyone else, but I check warlight forums daily, and UV forums bi-monthly at best..
