^Extermination is a possible consequence if peaceful trade does not exist. Another key issue here is whether people care about material gains or power. I'm not worried about greedy people for their behaviors can be regulated, instead power-hungry people are who I worry about.

Why would you ever prefer extermination? One requires violence and possible loss of people on your own side, the other requires a loss of wealth tops.

^^Exterminationism is inherently economically unprofitable. However it is not stopped by economic factors alone.

I would say that trade is what stopped massacres. Of course they still happen occasionally like those done by ISIS. However any normal entity on Planet Earth dislikes ISIS for obvious reasons, namely it is harmful. The world always has rules even if those who are strong can get away with more things than those who are weak. When a single entity is extremely destructive the surrounding world will decide rationally that that entity should be destroyed.
