Does that mean you dont want to be included in the double elimination tournament or do you want to play that and see how it goes? I wont invite you to the second season if you dont want to continue then.
I think that we have 31 people signed up for the second season. My goal is to have around 40 by the time we start the second season. What i plan on doing is dividing up everyone into four divisions and then the top 4 in each division will be elgible for the double elimination tournament at the end of the season.
I'm thinking that for the second season we will have 3 different maps for each league that way we can see how well players can adjust to different maps. I'm thinking that the maps would be: Imperium Romanum, Europe, and Eastern Asia. We would also have a map for the double elimination tournament at the end and i was think we could use medium earth as the map there. If you would like to suggest a different map for the season you can either invite me to a game and tell me or post on this forum.
PS: Anyone else who would like to join the Proving Ground League invite me to a game or tell me on this forum.
Isn't Eastern Asia a bit large for 1v1?
The other 2 maps sound great to me.
But I'd prefer to keep the third map on medium earth, or perhaps double earth with top/bottom distribution, that also makes for some fun games.
I think that sounds ok Ognian. We can have the three maps during the round robins be Europe, Medium Earth, and Imperium Romanum. However that leaves the question of what the final tournament's map would be because I'd like to try a different map for that tournament.
East Asia and Oceania will be the final tournament map. Our final tournament right now has 7 out of 15 games done which means in a few weeks it should be over. I'm thinking we will start the next season next Saturday so if you want to sign up you need to before then.
Saturday is the last day you can sign up because on Sunday we will begin Season II of Proving Ground. There will be 4 divisions and each division will have 3 round robin tournamnets, one on Imperium Romanum, one on Medium earth, and one on Europe. After all the games are done the 4 players with the best records in each divison will compete in the final tournament on East Asia & Oceania.
