Another problem: 5/5/2017 22:38:01

When I upload my map file, not all the territories show up (Only around 20 show up out of 200-400). Does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix it?

Are you sure they all have territory IDs?

Oh. I forgot to mention that the map is compacted a bit to the right of the upper left corner in the map editor.

Can you provide a screenshot of the SVG file and/or map link? We'll probably be able to figure it out a lot easier if we can see. PM it if you don't feel comfortable posting it on the public forum.

This is the link to the raw uploaded map:

And this is the link to the picture of the SVG file:

Hopefully from that you can help me with my problem.

Are all of your territories closed loops? A common problem I see mapmakers do in their early maps is they forget to completely enclose their territories. Warlight cannot identify 1D objects and transform them into territories: each territory needs to be 2D closed loops.

And what would you suggest I do if the territories are not closed loops?

Edit: I checked, and I found no closed loops. (I watched NinjaNic's video to make that map, and I doubt what he said would not make closed loops.)

Edit: Sorry if I sound a bit offending.

Are you sure that in the IDs don't have anything between the "Territory_" and the numbers?

e.g. Territory_56-3454 is NOT a valid ID

Also, have you selected a filling for each territory? If possible, try to use a filling that is not white:

http://prnt.sc/f4u9ud

EDIT:
You also seem to be having a problem with map size. In warlight, it oly occupies, like, a quarter of the room given. Could you send a screenshot of your map in warlight, where we can see the document properties?

When I do Find: Territory_119325 and fill them the territories that get filled are the ones that don't show up.

Well, then try to remove the filling.

Also, note that teriitory IDs cannot have more then 10 numbers in them.

e.g.:

Territory_1193253725 (10 digits) is valid.

Territory_11932537256 (11 digits) is NOT valid

Once again, please send a printscreen of your inkscape document with the document properties tab open. If you're using windows 10, I might just have a solution to your problem.

Well, then I cannot help you further :/. I myself use windows 7, so I've never used this scaling system.

I guess you could try to set the "scale x" to the value of "1" first, but I doubt it would change anything

Let's see....

Since we are trying to trace the problem down, we can experiment, try to find out more about it.

Try to set the "X" and "Y" boxes some values, like 2000. Also, a screenshot of your entire inkscape document with all of the document properties tab open could help

It didn't get bigger. For some reason the file largness was converted into 8 by 12 inches.
