I have just started to play Multi-day games and have created games with 12 hours boot. The games usually last 3 to 5 days. There are about 4 to 8 turns per day. I would like to start a clan of players with a liking for fast multi-day games. I personally cannot wait for weeks for a FFA game to end. Also I cannot wait for 3 days for a person take his turn. Are there players out there who have constant internet connection and can play 2 or 3 turns during work-time and a few turns after work? Would you be interested in a game with 6 hours boot time and 12 hours banked? Please come forward if you may be interested in a faster multi-day game.

If you sleep for 8 hours it still gives you 4 hours to take your turn for a 12 hour boot time. It only takes a few minutes to think and take your turn. And during work one can easily check the mobile phone and take turns during break-time or lunch. Playing a 3 to 5 day fast multi-day game is a great median between the 1 to 3 hour real-time game and the regular multi-day game that takes weeks.

Not everyone can do that at work. I know I couldn't. And there are unexpected things that happen in real life. Sometimes, you'll get bitten by a venomous snake and wind up in the hospital with no warning and no chance to surrender.
I wasn't booted when that happened, but that was because all my days were 3 day boot times. If they'd been 12 hours, I would have been booted since I was high on morphine for a couple days.
Not only that, but the game isn't as enjoyable with other players getting booted. The shorter the boot time, the more players get booted, the less enjoyable the game is.
My advice: get used to 3d boot times. If it helps, join a bunch at once so you won't get bored. But chances are, the only people you'll find who are willing to play with 12h boot times are noobs who have no idea what they're getting into. Sorry.

I am not trying to convert anybody who is happy with 3 day boots. But there must be many people who are currently playing real-time and want to play a faster version of multi-day.

I suggest you to try 1day 10hours. Players who join these play usually quick and it won't be much of a difference to 12 hours boot except you can sleep out on weekends without being afraid of the boot ;)

Same with me, i joined a game like 2 and a half weeks ago and it is not done... except twelve hours is too short. Maybe do 1 day 10 hours like master of desaster said... I would like to join that clan if there is one but the boot time should be longer.

One day and 10 hours makes 34 hours to take a turn. Personally I just don't have the patience. I guess I'm wired differently. And I have found that most players will take their turn within 3 or 4 hours but there is always one or two that only take their turn in the last hour before boot. the result is that 90% of the players keep waiting around for 10% of the slow pokes to take their turn.

I think you misunderstood what i said. A player who joins 1d10h games usually plays as soon as he realizes it's his turn. There is no difference usually. But in the rare occasions where you really can't take your turn in 12 hours it's much healthier. Also, what about a bank time?

Also, you can make a custom boot time, so if you have no patience for 1 day 10 hours you can do 1 day.

You'll just have more boots. It'll be a bootfest. No fun. But good luck, you might find people

that's the point of the post though, to find players who wouldn't or would be unlikely to boot generally in 12 hours.

There is no point in the post, because majority does not pay attention to forum activity. Just look multi-day games, make some games and look how they will. Your gathered data is more valuable, than random opinions in forum. I see 11 out of 59 to be 1day10hour. 12-seems extreme. Just go out there, make your game and you have your answer, simple as that.

Yep Tranq has a point. Very few people will see this post because of all the crap that gets stickied in the forums nowadays. No post shows on anyones dashboard unless it's one of those that gets stuck on it.

making open multi games won't work either as you will just get people signing up and booting.

If you're serious, i would suggest posting on the clan forum. Will still never see light of day on anyones dashboard but at least will be there for people looking to join a clan
