by 'you idiots' you are referring to all of wall street and anybody with a clue about how finance or investing works or anyone who reads the news?

the market has been rising on expectation of his tax cuts and other business reforms he promised. the deeper the hole he digs for himself, the less likely he'll be able to do those things, the stock market drops in response.

The stock market falters if the Saudi Prince gets a cold. It's the most panicky group of people in existence who will mutually destroy each other's assets whenever doubt appears.

If you put your resources in stock and then lose out its your own fault.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great system when it works. But it's a high risk game and you shouldn't expect sympathy if you lose.

07 was a good year. The crash started in 08 and went into 09.

That shows very clearly you are not talking about something you have deep knowledge and experience with. Nobody who lived through that in a real way and saw their portfolio halve and then double -- would ever forget the years.
