I recommend you post a link to your map so people can look at it and see if they are interested.

Don't expect much interest until next week with the holidays.

Hmmm... I'm having trouble understanding what the major difference is between this map and the original earth map. The only changes I see are the subdivision of India and Brazil. But a lot of territories have weird names. Nova Scotia is called New Scotia, what may be the correct translation, but is never used on any map! In fact, if you wanted to translate it, it should have been called "New Scotland" Now you're using English and Latin in the same name. Also, Madagascar, Svalbard and Java are called Madagascar Island, Svalbard Island and Java Island, while Sumatra, Hawaii, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Cuba and numerous other island (groups) aren't called "Island" Choose any naming method you like, but be consistent.

First of all, you need to erase "BonusLink_" from your bonus names.
Plus, is this map so much more detailed than the normal one. In fact some parts are far less detailed than the normal map and this one lacks uniformity.
Also, the South American country is called Ecuador, not Equator.

I don't think WL needs such map since it's something I'd call 'rewrite' of official world map with some territories added. Invent something new (completly new bonuses?) to your work doesn't go to waste.

I like Sri Lanka - Madagascar connection idea.

Those below do not connect to neighbour territories as they should:
Ukraine
South Pole
West Kazakhstan
Moscow
Tajikistan
South Australia

I guess people are use do the other world map, so it maybe would be better if U modify the current world map, adding now connections and changing the territories, than to draw it from beginning as U did. The shapes of the continents are not so nice, but the idea of new connections and different shapes of territories are good and ok :)

Thanks for sharing the map :0

This map uses, as far as I can see, the Gall-Peters projection. It's supposed to correctly represent the areas (Africa is, in fact, this big, and the State this small) - however, it's not the best-looking one.

The two best-looking projections are probably Robinson projection (used in Earth/Medium Earth maps), and Winkel Tripel projection (not used anywhere in Warlight AFAIK).

(Small Earth map here uses Mercator, should anyone want to know.)

@ matma rex:
"You have a comfortable pair of running shoes that you wear everywhere. You like coffee and enjoy The Beatles. You think the Robinson is the best-looking projection, hands down." :P

@ map:
I find the changes in sub-divisions of big countries on this map to be a bit arbitrary. Why did you split up Brazil whereas you made both the US & China (+ Mongolia) one big bonus and reduced Russia by one?
What's the reasoning behind those decisions? I'm not saying I don't like it, I like what you did with South America & Africa. But there's a certain inconsistency concerning the whole map IMO...
And - as Perrin already mentioned - the bonus values do need tweaking.
