Marriage is a religious ceremony anyways. Why would you want to have your relationship cemented by a religion that specifically rejects your sexuality?

first of all it is not only a religious ceremony anymore. there is are state marriages, which are much more important, because they grant crucial tax cuts.

Congrats to Germany. Although I feel a bit apathetic and mixed about it. I honestly don't see why any gay people would want to get married in the name of an evil religion that has fought against their rights for centuries. On the other hand, I don't think the discrimination is ok either, especially not by state churches which gay people (like me, reluctantly) fund. Until the fine day they're abolished, they better provide their 'services' to everyone.
