We've got a number of large games going on right now that have unusual win conditions. There's a standard hunter/killer that started with 24, and another game that's a variation that gives a point to anyone who eliminates any other player. Both these games are set up as "practice" games b/c the standard settings won't allow for the true winner to be automatically recognized.

My proposal is that Fizzer adds a variation to the game setup that allows for the game creator to award the victory for the game. As a safety check, anyone joining the game would have to acknowledge that they understand and agree to that condition.

It'd also be nice to add a green room, and addition powers for the game creator/mod, but I'll save that for another thread.

How do you define the elimination of an other player?the one who took the final territory, or the one who killed the most armies of that player, who who took the most territories of him?

And if it is the former, then what if a player surrenders? Or gets booted?

personally.. my stats aren't so vital that for variations I need a inset design to say I won.. especially when the win will be *determined by the host* in which case it will make stats even more superfluous..

In the case of the two games mentioned above:

In hunter/killer games, you have a specific target, and you score when that target is eliminated, no matter who actually eliminates that player.

In the variation (2nd game), you score a point if you eliminate any player. You can even score by eliminating yourself with a block or abandon card.

Surrenders/boots don't count for scores, and are discouraged.

And yes, not everyone cares about getting credit for a win, but some people do.

hunter/killer sounds just like the Hunt Variant that's been out since before I showed up.. XP

and something like this would have to have it's own hierarchy of stats.. since winning a 7 man FFA under Hunt variant is completely different then a 7 man FFA under normal circumstances..

this is like putting up 2v3 wins.. it could be slightly useful, but it would be more cluttery then anything, and the stats page is already pretty cluttery IMHO..
the amount of effort it would require, would likely not warrant making the changes..
