Tournament details:
How to participate?
Short answer: write here or send a mail to me, and I will help you to join :)

Long answer: the details of the invitation method
I will use a two steps invitation process:
  • On Monday (later today) I will create the tournament and
    • invite the actual TOP50 players from the Ranking List (see the link above).
    • invite 20 other players are chose by me (giving them Wild Card)
  • On Wednesday, between 04:00-06:00 am CET, I will invite every remained players from my invitation list (you can check my present invitation list here: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=23644).
    • If you are in that list then you will receive a tourney invitation, and the only what you need for the participation is to join asap, before the event will be filled.
    • If you aren't in the invitation list yet, but would like to play, then you need write here (or send mail to me) until 10 minutes before I send the invitations, and I will add you to the list and invite you to the tourney.
    • If you are in that list but don't wish to receive further Tour invitations, write here or any AWP topic (or send mail to me) and I will remove you from my invitation list. Later you can rejoin at anytime, I just don't want to spam anybody.

thanks for organizing the AWP Ekstone. it's one of the few events i still regularly play! challenging games but at the same time quite casual (you don't have to play the tournaments if you don't like the template or have too many games at the moment) and it doesn't get repetitive since it's always different templates.

Ekstone does this ever reset (points-wise) or does it go on forever where the winner of the AWP World Tour is when you are unable to organise it? Just unsure on this part of the tour.

As always great job for organising =)

Plat - it's exactly like tennis, the winner is whoever has the most points right now from the last year of tourneys.

There's no "final winner" - that concept makes no sense here. You have a rolling year that constantly keeps rolling over.

So If I have a tournament where I got pointed yesterday of last year. Those points would be expired because It's a year passed? Hence the "rolling".

If this is the case now I understand thanks.

Yeah, that's the idea: rolling points, with the results of the new tourney replacing the results of the same tourney a year ago.

I'm not sure if it's exactly 1 year, or if it's when the same tourney finishes - which are a year apart. E.g. Grand Slam 1v1 Ladder is coming up soon. I would expect that my points for this tourney last year will expire when the new tourney ends.

Eckstone can tell us which system exactly he is using. But something in this area.

Can you try to make the tournaments 1v1 teamgames? So that its possible to use the team chat for notes? Would be awesome, thx.

@Quicksilver, Platinum
when the same tourney finishes
This one.
*same tourney means not the same template (although usually it is the same too) but the same week of the previous year.

@linberson
I always make the templates with teams, so it seems that is not enough for the team chat? :|
I created last tournament as a team tourney, only write directly 1 to the team size, so after it will start then we will see it will be enough or not.
