Automatic weapons aren't allowed in the hands of the general public. If you are going to berate US gun laws, at least do it accurately:

Your sarcasm is misplaced. If you would use the term "assault weapon," you would have at least some argument, since the newer definition of the term is starting to include semi-automatic weapons as an assault weapon, and semi-automatic weapons are legal to buy in the US. What you should really be going after, however, are handguns. Those are used to kill more people in this country than any other weapon, including this time-span's evil spawn of Satan, the AR-15.

With "automatic" I was referrring to semi-automatic, not full-automatic. Don't lecture me over something I already know. Unlike the majority of the population, I know that.

You do understand that the term "automatic" refers to the chambering and not the trigger pull. For example a M1911 would be automatic too. I think you are the one who should be more accurate.
