i dont know how you all feel about it, but to be directly booted out after just a few seconds over the time limit, is really stupid. I almost think someone is afraid of a little competion.

i dont know how you all feel about it, but to allow yourself to be directly booted in a real-time game when you have known the boot time before you joined is really stupid. I almost think someone is afraid to read the settings.

It's perfectly reasonable to boot somebody who has gone over the limit. It's not the nicest thing to do, but it's what was agreed upon.

That's also why I never play real time games. I can't always control each and every 5 minute period for 1-4 hours at a time. Knowing that, I know that I would eventually be booted in a game I was winning, or a game that had barely started, or a 150 turn game that was completely awesome and at the most fun stage it could be at.

The simplist solutions are to only play with people you trust, or to just never play real time.

You assume is it a limit, i disagree.

When you create a game the time you set is the point at wich players are ALLOWED to boot people. It is the autoboot that is the limit that you cannont go beyond.

It is not a justification unless someone is consistantly going right to the limit (the autoboot) every time.

Most of the people i play with and talk to feel the same way yet it is the actions of single players (who i always blacklist after) who ruin games in this way.

I agree completely that it's not a good thing. I would also blacklist people who booted me the second it hit five minutes. That said, the easier solution for me is to avoid real time games.

This discussion keeps coming back up and what it comes down to every time IMHO is this:

People who boot right at the limit are assholes, and you shouldn't play with them anymore. However, it's still your fault for going over the limit, not your opponents. If you couldn't make the time limit, you have nobody to blame but yourself, so complaining about it is useless and a waste of space and time. You also need to realize that it's just a game, so just relax a little bit, it's supposed to be fun. Just shrug off the stupid s*** and move on to the next game. Stop making excuses.

Matma Rex it has nothing to do with stupid it has to do with being new at this game, and like i said it wasnt more then a few seconds, it you take the time to look at my profile you will see that when i play real-time games i am always there and within the time limit. Anytime you want to play against me pleas feel free, but then be fair about booting and dont wait with your finger on the button, which is what the person must have been doing.

I have only one thing to say to those whining like children about being booted: DON'T PLAY GAMES YOU CANNOT KEEP UP WITH AND MOAN ABOUT HOW HORRID OTHER PEOPLE ARE FOR DOING IT, IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT.

this is what happens when you play noobs, you get booted instantly.

if i don't set prereq, i find i get bootd 50% of the time 1 min after direct boot timer.

However, when i set prereq with max 5% boot rate, and at least 100 games played, i find i only get booted 10% of the time.

In conclusion, players who doesn't get booted a lot, and play more games has a lower tendency to boot to boot other players.

Don't whine, blacklist, don't post about it, move on. Those four steps will help save your life.
