I believe that if someone is born in China, England or somewhere else, that he/she is called Chinese or English, regardless of whether his/her parents are part of the majority ethnicity in that country or not. Calling someone Chinese or English based on his birthplace is just the most neutral way.

What do you folks think?

Depends on if this persohn assimilates to the culture of the country in my opinion. I like migrants wgho are here and are hard working and have became part of my country. I despise those who cry ''In my former country all things were better than here'' then why the allah are you here?

Both of you don't decide if someone is English or Chinese, it depends on where the person is born. For example, I'm born in the Netherlands, hence why I'm Dutch. If you say that I'm not Dutch because of my ethnicity or skin color, then you're completely wrong. It's a fact that a person is named after his birthplace. It's as simple as that, I don't understand why you nationalists are so salty about this. Nationalism is disgusting btw.

You don't appreciate what it means to be of your nation until you have left it, whether it be for a month or the rest of your life.

It's natural for you to hate nationalism squiggles, because you have nothing to be proud of. Your heritage is ''we wuz kangs''.

A dog born in a stable isn't a horse.

So whether your parents were on holiday, or working in the country when you were born, it doesn't make a difference.

Here in Britain, we don't grant automatic citizenship to children born to foreign-born parents even if they're born in the UK and their parents are British citizens.
