I thought it would be interesting to know how most of the players on here chose their nicknames. This thought came to me because I imagine all of the people I play games against thinking of me as some fat 40-something who lives in their mother's basement.

In reality, this is a nickname given to me by my friends (yes, it's amazing, most of us here have friends), it being an ironic one since I'm about 5'9", 120lbs. Skinny as hell, in other words.

My last name, it's pretty unique so I use it for most of the stuff on the internets

MentalJargon is my screen name for all the interwebs (never been told I need to make it MentalJargon12 or anything, anywhere). Been using it for about 10 years. It came from a mini-disc (look 'em up kids) compilation I made in college. Can't remember what was on it but it was called Mental Jargon, just kinda stuck with it.

On most other games I'm called Harmenator, because my front name is Harm, but I thought Moros looked better. 5 seconds after I changed my name from Harmenator to Moros I wanted to undo it, but now I'm keeping it.

My friends at Uni and I sometimes speak spanglish with one another, it's pretty funny actually, and entertaining for anyone watching. My other friends think it's hilarious. Anyways, they showed me this game and wanted to play a game quickly so I had to create an account on the spot while they were pressuring me to hurry up and the only thing that came into mind was what you see on the left... haha

I made my screen name the name of my dog.

I wanted to name my dog something appropriate to his actions. We got him when he was a puppy and my wife wouldn't let me name him pisser. The puppy liked to investigate things by pushing things with his nose (nudging them). He still does, lol. He has knocked over a few things which is cute but sometimes annoying. Annoying... hmmm there is a slang term for that... oh yeah... a nudge...

Gargamel is actually the villain on the smurfs, a cartoon from the 80's. It's been my primary internet handle and/or avatar for most of the online games I play. Second choice would be SirCarmine, named after a knight in a game realm I created. If you see either name in any of the games I mention in my profile.. say hi sometime.

ZippyChippy is a local race horse for 15+ years in the Finger Lakes region of New York State who has never ever won a race! 2nd , 3rd many times but never first!
He's garnered national attention once or twice, he's even raced a minor league ball player from home plate to first base (...and lost) as a promotional thing for the ballclub.

Because I don't really take myself too seriously, I started using the name when I was a rookie in a long standing Fantasy football league. (trying to set low expectations)

I did win the FF league one year so I kinda tarnish the horse's reputation!

aquaholic, again, i'm born on a rainy day. Plus, i live in vancouver, where it rains like 99% of the time.

my family gave me the nick 'Perrin' when they decided to join the SCA for a relatively short spurt.. and the numbers are related to an old friends phone number.. I got tired of always having my nick taken, since it came from a popular book series, so decided to mix the two for SnG, and It's stuck..

I have the most terrible time creating usernames for anything, ( I absolutely have to have a different username for everything xD ) while signing up I got fed up with how long it was taking and decided to use sarcasm and poke fun at my own lack of imagination when it comes to usernames. It has been very useful for making even more bad puns during my games :P

Back in middle school my friends and I were making up Sith names for ourselves. I was dubbed "Darth Armoress" because I wore this Under Armour shirt. Since then I have shortened it to Darth Armour, or just Armour. I spell it with a 'u' just because I like the way it looks.

Wow, some of these are creative. Mine is just because my name is John and I am from Texas. The "clantag" just says "Yangshuo, China", which is where me and some friends who play all live.
