So when I'm playing a Single-player game, I click "submit", and this weird invisible advertisement for FTL comes up. I can't click anything on the window except the links to the Amazon site for it. This always freezes my game, and the only way to fix it is to reload the page, which makes me lose my game. Can someone please tell me what on earth is going on?

Same for me, you just have to find the invisible closing button.

I usually find the invisible closing button by going to the right until my cursor changes, then going up until the cursor briefly changes and then changes back again.

got the same problem, and finding the closing button isn't really a long term solution.
I disabled adblocker (to support and) to get rid of the annoying message that WL couldn't display them, now with invisible ads it pops up again and I get less points. is there any way to permanently solve this?

I see those too, Usually I just wait out the timer (15s?) or close them manually

If you see them they're not the invisible ones. those don't have a timer it seems, they're there for multiple minutes

the add is invisible, the side which say buy wl membership to avoid ads is not. (although some rare times everything is invisible). no offence but did you really think I'd say that^^ if I saw everything like I should, doh :p

all the adds should have a timer, you don't need to see it for it to be there, just wait it out.

well I can do orders of a whole turn while the ad is there, which is usually longer than 15 sec, so I thought you meant something different. It is even there after the game as proceeded to the next turn.
If there really is a closing button I'll have a look for it, but I'd prefer having that bug removed completely.

Very inconvenient. Prevents me from opening the menu, etc. Need to reopen tab to get rid of it.

this is the reason i use ad block... i wasn't planning on using it but the invisible ads sometimes has to make me reopen the tab which was very annoying.

I actually started using Chrome again while having Adblock on IE.

Unfortunately with ad block, you don't get as many points.

Few times i have invisible ads too. Refreshing site can help too instead of an ad-block if you're not hurry by taking turns.

Even though I don't see ads as a member, this kind of thing is really sketchy. Replying to draw attention to the thread. A default 15s timer would be a good short term workaround I think.

Don't worry. The invisible advertisement is just post-contemporary neo-classical economics, whatever that may be.

Me too, but it's Post Canada ad. This needs to stop or I will go to another site.
