it would be nice if it was possibility to chose your alternative colour, if you join the game and your colour is in use, you're automatically given the second one, what do you think about this?

Im pretty sure when your colour is taken you can pick a second choice.

or did i just dream that? urg its to early in the morning to be sure :)

I know but i want to avoid this phase, often there are some situations in real time games when your seat has been taken up due to choosing alternative colour

oh i see. personally i like to choose my colour if mine is taken. i dont alway choose the same secondary colour.

however i dont play many realtime games so i havent really had the problem you are talking about

If I have to pick a new color, I just choose one that blends with the colors of my teammates, and that is not always the same color.

I'd like to see a 30 sec. buffer period between joining a game and being "ready" to go...
like: you click ***join***, and occupy a seat, then you are given short time to check the settings (or pick alternative color, if needed) and then click ***ready*** or be automatically removed from the seat.

I think Fizzer once said that implementing multiple colors could be a hassle, but this was a long time ago. I would sure like this feature - my primary color is Orange Red, and if unavailable I always choose Teal.

I think the best solution is to allow yourself to be able to set the colors you see others as. I'd much rather always be the same color and pick another color to see my opponent as. They would do the same. When viewing a saved game people could see a random choice for colors that were in conflict.

@Nudge The problem with that is it would make it more difficult in team games. How often do people say "PlayerX let's attack red next turn." It wouldn't work if your red was different from my red.

Forgive me if I've missed it in some past discussions, but why aren't there two phases such as sit/join and then ready. I can't say how many times I've been looking at the settings for a game only to have it fill up and the game automatically load. It would also be nice to be able to change your color in specific games. The tan and orange-ish colors, as well as a few of the blues can be incredibly difficult to tell the difference between in-game. Personally, for this exact reason I like having the choice for each instance where someone has already joined with my color.

I think that it should be -possible- to change your color, even if you have your default color.. just your default is automatically selected.
I also agree there should be a delay after you sit down, one that could be ended prematurely by all players marking they are ready

Matma, my primary is Copper Rose, my Secondary is Almost Always Ivory.. course I've only used it like 3 times ;)

My primary is Ivory, my secondary is whatever blends with my teammates, or if I don't have one, anything close to orange or beige.

Just adding my vote for being able to switch your default color prior to a match starting. It's painful in the team games, full distribution, when one team is all light blues and dark greens, and the other team is all dark blues and light greens. It would be so nice if one team could switch all their colors to, say, yellows and reds, to avoid this kind of confusion.
