Hello!

I've made an Europe map recently, and after making territories bigger so they could fit army numbers, it will become public soon hopefully.
You can check it here: http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=8849

But I've already made another, smaller one, this time it's more realistic and more data-accurate version of Solar System map.

http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=8959 (*)

I don't know about you, but whenever I've imagined I was ruler of a country located on Jupiter's or even Sun's surface I was confused.

I'd like to start few multi day games so I'm asking for volunteers that would like to participate.

*I know the map doesn't have bonuses yet. I'll do them today, and after that i'll start games - I'd like to have names for inviting until that :)

I don't agree with the names, "Better Europe" and "Better Solar System"
Since everyone thinks something different about each map, "better" is relative.
I suggest using "Alternative Europe" and "Alternative Solar System" For Europe you could also use "Industrial Europe" or "Demographic Europe"

And for your solar system map: won't space ports become huge bottlenecks on every planet/moon except earth?

And for Europe: I like it, but why did you make Friesland go all the way to Shlezwig-Holstein? And maybe you could make the bonus squares a little smaller?

Anyway, I'm always in for testing games and joining map development, so invite me if you can!

The Europe map is already checked in multiplayer games and as I said it will become public soon if there won't be any more problems, so you'd be able to make games on it by yourself :)

Please don't be so strict about the territory names. Since english is not my native language I've spent a lot of time checking them. Mostly I was just changing the language of wiki site, but when I was almost sure I can do this I've omitted that part. Probably there will be more mistakes, but even on featured maps there are some: i. e. on classic Europe "Podlassie" which should be "Podlasie" ;)

@Moros:
I agree with that names thing. It could be irritating for some players and even offending for the authors of the other maps. To be honest, I wanted to name it "Realistic Europe" but that is taken. "Better" was just the word that I've quickly found in mind, and then I've just forgot to change it. I will do so.

Bottlenecks they may be, but as you see my maps are designed to be more realistic. Imagine it's 2512 and you're on one of Jupiter's moons, there is no chance that there would be more than one space port and therefore thus more than one place from where you could go into space, except for earth. I'll check while playing if that's not too annoying and consider adding other space port on Mars and Asteroids, maybe somewhere else too :)

And Friesland... I just had to make it bigger :) And since the provinces of netherlands are all small, i took some territory of Lower Saxony, which is big. And some part of Friesland lays in Germany, or at least the historical maps I've been viewing say so :)

Another one: Istria doesn't seem to be part of either Yugoslavia or Italy. And Albania definitely doesn't belong to Yugoslavia.

That's your mistake, not mine :) Check it - France has cosmoport in its colony in South America, which serves also for whole eropean space organization.

On Europe map, it should be "Nizhny Novgorod", not "Niznhy". Also "Yaroslavl", not "Yaroslawl".

I'd love to test your maps, I really like your more accurate setup of the Solar System.

And I noticed that you have Canada spelled "Kanada" in the Solar System map bonus.

I like the look and feel of your Solar system map. Some nitpicking: dividing the asteroid belt into "southern" & "northern" parts doesn't seem right to me. Cardinal directions in space aren't applicable like that AFAIK (as I understand it, you definitely can't designate a "south" or "north" to the asteroid belt as a vast majority of the actual objects would be gathered around the equator of the celestial sphere). Also, it just sounds weird...
The moons of Mars are called "Phobos" & "Deimos" (instead of "Daimos") and it's "Ganymede" (instead of "Ganimedes") in English.
I don't know how much you want to go into detail but the actual Russian spaceport Baikonur is a bit more to the south (around 45° N, whereas it seems to be around 70° N on your map).

How about adding a Dyson sphere bonus close to (around) the Sun? Or some isotope collectors on the surfaces of the gas giants? Because IMO a few more territories/bonuses could benefit the map.

PS: I'd definitely want to be in for a testing game! ;)
PPS: As a citizen of Europe, I must strongly object to the fact that the EU has no connection to it's own spaceport! :P

I was sitting there, thinking of it and couldn't find the right words! From the first moment I knew i would change the "southern" and "northern" at the moment I find better words :) Any suggestions?
Misspelled names will be corrected.
As I was doing Europe map I've learned that Russiand are planning on making Plesetsk their main cosmodrome, close to Arkhangelsk, and I've drawn that one :)
I'm european too. But 1) there are obviously many lines that shows connections and I did not want to have more 2) Europe (France especially) has remainings of colonies in almost every continent. So if we decide that it is one with its colonies, it should touch almost everything :)
And I'm definitely drawing more territories. I just have to make it realistic. I have already one idea, thanks for the next.
