is there a way to boot players from a tournament game if both are inactive and autoboot will never happen? i just wonder why autoboot can be set to never in tournaments. for example this one: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=5177
I think I saw something by Fizzer that said if a game stalls for more than 100 days, Warlight will end it. Im not sure how it decides who wins, though.
That means when 2inactive players meet each other and don't react on warning mails, a game takes max. about 250days? Ca 120 till they get forced to join and 120days again till the final boot happens. Am i right? That's way too much time for one single game.
At least that's only likely to happen in the first round or so of the tournament. But yeah, that does really slow down a tournament, especially if it's double elimination. Do tournaments default to having an autoboot when you're creating them? Maybe they should to help avoid this.
No, you have to pick a template or make one when starting a tournament. By default auto boot is not on when making the template.
Tournaments should NEVER be made without auto boot. I decline all tournaments without Auto boot, and I encourage every player to do so as well and let the creator of the tournament know. Hopefully awareness will lead to people making them with the right settings.

Tournaments do not naturally have auto-boot, but, if it senses that auto-boot is off, it recommends an auto-boot of 2x the direct boot time (Within the 100-day limitation)
Which doesn't force auto-boot, but it turns it from "forgot" to "willfully denying this".
