1. You can re-size the map in Inkscape, but not larger than 3330x2440 pixels.
2. You can change it easily in the screen you get when you make the bonus.

Oh wait, I misread the question :(
You can't change the color of the bonus-link border.

I'm not sure what you mean by map size. No matter what size your make your SVG file, the map is increased or decreased to fit the screen of the person viewing it. So the size you specify in the SVG file really only controls how big the army numbers and arrows will be.
Unfortunately the yellow bonus link border can't be adjusted at this time. Feel free to add a UV item for this, as it's something I'd like to give to map creators at some point in the future.

SVG is a vector format, so the size shouldn't matter. You could have all of your territories in a 100x100 or a 5000x5000 and they would look identical in Inkscape. Nothing would look overcrowded.
However, the size is the way you adjust how big the army numbers and other map visuals will be. Therefore, this should be what you use when deciding how big your SVG file should be, as it's the only factor that matters.
10000x10000 would not work, as the army numbers would be invisible without zooming in so far that your entire screen was taken up by a single territory.

If you really want to add those details, you can always enlarge a part of your map, and place the centerpoints there. Here's an example: http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=6188
South Quebec is enlarged to make the army numbers fit, but it has been mirrored back to the original location. I think you should use a similar technique to fix your map.

That has already been answered, you can't make a map bigger than 3330*2440. End of story. If I could, I would do something about it, but I can't. And a 10000*10000 map is just ridiculous.

I believe it's hardcoded limit, the "recommended" size for new map is 1000x1000 or so.

You really are annoying you know that Moros? First you were unable to read my question properly, then you were unable to comprehend my intentions, then you still feel obligated to further add a solution nobody asked for. When being told that, you act like a hurt child, telling me the question had been answered, which hasnt, trying to wrongly prove your point by giving out a statement as a fact, which i again not only was fully aware of, but which above all is the very core of this topic. Furthermore you add a BASTA "End of story" comment, like you were any authority of anything. As if that is not enough you play the understanding merciful willing to do everything in his power to relieve me of my burden, with yet another superflous comment, since of course you cant change the things, neither can I, only fizzer can and nobody asked you to change it. You end your comment with trying to ridicule me and/or the question I raised in this topic, by pulling an exaggeration i used to clarify my intentions to Fizzer out of context, what means that you A either again didnt understand the reason for the exaggeration, or B you did understand and yet still purposely did it. So if that by the comments you made in only this short past history of dialogue we have together is all i can expect of you, I beg you to keep true to your promise and let that be the "End of story" and the end of all the stories that are directed by you at me.

Oh come on, that's just an accident, those happen. At least he tried. (Besides, he realized it and fixed his mistake all of 47 seconds later.)
|> When being told that, you act like a hurt child
I'll agree with you there's *someone* in this thread acting like a hurt child. Pro top: his name is not Moros.
|> telling me the question had been answered, which hasnt
Given the title of this thread, you seem to be aware of the fact that Fizzer is the creator of this game. So when he basically says "I know this limit is there, that's intentional and I'm not going to change it", how does that not answer your question?
If I tell you I want to learn how to fly, without a plane, just by wanting it to happen and ask "just exactly how badly should I want it before I magically lift off?", what would you tell me? I sure hope you'd advice me I'm nuts, right? But would it then make sense for me to complain you didn't answer the question? No, of course not.

Careful what you wish for. Moros is a rather accomplished map-maker; staying on his good side could end up with you receiving a lot of priceless help / feedback (except in cases where you try to do something which is impossible... by design... and, after having been told so by the game creator himself, you still insist on doing it).

Funny, I was thinking the same exact thing...
I do have to wonder just what this map looks like that he is not concerned by the territory limit but only by the spatial limit. Makes it seem like a mix of very large and very small territories which just seems odd.
