How often do you use attack or transfer only?

I just found out that they existed today...

yes, it is good to use transfer only when trying to reinforce a spot with lots of 1's or twos and you expect for the opponent to attack.

I use attack-only alot in ffa's with unsteady agreements.. last order attack-only's can keep you safe while making you seem to be completely at ease

I use transfer-only mostly when I'm hiding a stack and want to use it to defend and wipe out an unsuspecting enemy stack, but I'm unsure whether or not I'll get the first move. It stops the plan from going horribly wrong if you don't get the first move.

A nice use for attack only is when you want to make sure you conquer a territory, but (if possible) not create an undefended spot.

Example: you have two territories, A and B, your opponent also has two, 1 and 2, with these connections:
2 <--> B
2 <--> A
1 <--> A
(this configuration happens a lot in practice). Let's say all four of these have a decent amount of armies on them and you're not quite sure how many reinforcements your opponent will deploy and whether or not he will try to attack you as well, or just sit there. In other words, you have basically no idea how many attackers you will need, and no idea how many you can safely spare, since you don't know how many defenders you'll need in A.
But, for some reason (completing a bonus, breaking his bonus), you really want to capture territory 2. It would be safest to do that from territory B (so you attack from there first), but what if that attack fails...? You *do* have those troops on territory A, but you only want to use them (leaving A practically undefended, just *hoping* the counter-attack isn't coming or happened earlier in the turn already...) if you really have to. That's when `Attack only` comes to the rescue! :)

Can't say I use it every game, but definitely way more than 1 in 50.

I use them pretty often (though not as much as I should) and they are amazing. Their use is situational like OD and OP cards, but they are similarly powerful in the right situations.

My favorite use for Attack Only is to use a large stack to defend multiple territories. Transfer only is usable much more often, but it's less spectacular. Generally I use transfer only to keep from losing my small armies being sent to reinforce.

Another use for Transfer Only:

Your teammate is attacking into a bordering neutral (EX: 4v2) and you're not sure he's going to get it, but you want to push your extra's over anyway. A Transfer Only order will move your armies into his newly taken territory, but will not attack the damaged neutral.

John, 4v2 will only fail in a non-strategic luck setting.. 3v2 will sound more relevant to alot of members..
although it is highly useful in team games for this reason I agree
