Only 10 players joined. 20-30 of the invited top players declined. 20-30 neither declined nor joined. It seems that game count (the ladders, other tournaments) is the biggest obstacle. Without the participation of at least half of the former ladder #1s and guys like Zibik, Chris, Saladin, Szewen, Fatih, etc., it's just another tournament. So I deleted these tournaments.

so if you use historical names, which you change every month or so, and have a highly personal avatar, eg a blurry building, you are exempt from gui's hi-larious nicknames. thats good, otherwise gui would be a complete hypocrite.

if you think it would be such a positive thing for the forum, why dont you change to your real name/real photo? i fear that might curb your unique witticisms, like changing 'dr. typesomething' to 'dr. pepper'. how did you come up with that one?

yes. i am a hypocrite. i am illogical. i contradict myself. yes yes yes. i am every negative latin- and greek-based word used in logic class that has ceased to be useful in our daily lives except on wl's forum.

how i came up with it: first i looked at his name and thought, "Dr. Typesomething, hmmm, I should type something instead of Typesomething." then, i thought long and hard, x. i wanted something that was just right. something that would touch us all.

x, how did you come up with your blurry building example? or the 'highly personal avatar' expression? why is hilarious so artistically separated into hi-larious? so many questions...

real photo, real name: i would like to do just that. but to do that i'd have to quit the 2v2 ladder, transfer my membership to the new account, and finish all my tournaments.

something unrelated to all this nonsense and directly related to wl: good job on the 1v1 ladder, x. i hope you can make it to the top 10. words dont really matter on wl. your moves on the board speak for you more than anything else.

off course not all the top players were gonna join, just like not all the top players join the ladders. Maybe you should just 've created it to give people the opportunity to join in and nothing more ?
