Theres a list of names in my mind of people who will ignore the post or ingor the thread and go writing a complaint about how my post made no sense, picking out random quotes and trying to say Im wrong, because You know Im right. My bet is that Ill get replies back insulting me and talking about how hilariously stupid this post is, because they didnt even read the first 3 sentences .I'll be the first to say I've only been using the forum for 2 weeks and I've been noticing a pattern. Someone starts a debatable post and next thing you know theres all of these 20 year old guys, who must have nothing else to do, commenting on someones post about how its wrong and it was based off of your "biased history books" and "put in some credible sources." These people are addicted to proving someone wrong, in a way that makes no sense like "no credible resources" or "actually that was from...." These guys post like they have a high standard education, when really they are graduates from highschool who took your average history class and occasionally read at wikipedia the first few sentences on an artcle, and the little belligerents chart. I can tell you, if any of you "buffs" as ace calls it, are highly educated about history, you'd be researching about it, not going on warlight looking at some kid's post, correcting it with no real knowledge, and making yourself feel good because you just wasted someones time.
The next method lots of you guys use besides pretending your an expert on the topic to make yourself feel good is to write posts trying to correct the debatable post like "One fopr the buffs" were once again you gripe and complain about how someone is writing on another post, and pretend you are so mature you didnt even write it , when ya did. It must be like nicotine that keeps you guys going everyday when you get home from a job or school and pretend your high and mighty experts on a topic and say somebodies post is unreliable or "hilariously stupid"

You seem to take things people say on the internet very personally. I'd suggest not doing that.

That's because what you are calling "hate" is actually just common sense! Just remember - everytime you start a post like this, God kills a kitten. Please, won't you think of the kittens?

I'd suggest listening to Ace... he's a smart mick.
I'd also suggest learning how to space your text better as that block was miserable to read.

Welcome to the standard internet forum... it's what you should expect from such settings.

Delvinus thats exactly the stuff im talking about. Same with you richard sharpe, I can take corrections, but people like you skim the post and look for errors, which no one really needs, I guess it makes you feel good right big boy

I didn't point out errors, nor did I skim the text. I gave a suggestion that you employ better spacing to your writing as massive blocks like that are exceedingly difficult to read.

Amusing bit is that I gave constructive criticism... an honest recommendation. You respond with condescension while complaining about how others treat you on the forums. As my mama always said, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I'm with you m1919. It gets on my nerves, and the spacing is perfectly fine. I normally don't read so if I say that, it's good.

Hahah no dude, everyone is just preying on the fact that you obviously take yourself way too seriously :) Lighten up, people just like to yak at each other including in the debate threads you're pointlessly criticizing. Noone cares what you think about what they said. Heck I don't even care what I think about what I said! It's all just for kicks, I have plenty of serious at work!

Okay, not really... not at all in fact. But like you I don't care about what I think either.

|> trying to say Im wrong, because You know Im right.

Have you even considered the possibility that you might be wrong?

|> I've only been using the forum for 2 weeks and I've been noticing a pattern.

Hint: this happens on pretty much every forum on the Internet, it's not at all specific to the WL forum.

|> Someone starts a debatable post and next thing you know theres all of these 20 year old guys, who must have nothing else to do, commenting on someones post about how its wrong and it was based off of your "biased history books" and "put in some credible sources." If you don't want a discussion, then don't start a thread with a "debatable post"!

Besides, the only thing keeping people from just spouting random, probably incorrect statements *is* a link to a credible(!!) source.
If I were to say that the deciding battle of WW2 was the defeat of all German armies by a single Swiss commando in the battle of Tokyo, how would you respond? By your own logic you can't simply call me a moron, but neither can you give me a link to a credible source saying (for instance) that Switzerland remained neutral during the whole war. So that leaves random shouting, with your shouting having just as little credibility as mine... That way there's no point to having the discussion at all.

|> I can tell you, if any of you "buffs" as ace calls it, are highly educated about history, you'd be researching about it, not going on warlight looking at some kid's post, correcting it with no real knowledge, and making yourself feel good because you just wasted someones time.

And this complaint post of yours isn't wasting everyone's time? I'm seriously wondering whether *you* aren't the troll...

---

Here's some constructive criticism for you: if you write properly (spelling, punctuation, grammar, maybe even making a couple paragraph instead of a wall of text) people will take you far, *far* more seriously. This doesn't just hold on Internet forums, but everywhere. (You wouldn't write an application/resume as sloppily as you write your posts here, right? Think about *why* you'd be more careful about your writing style in nthat case.)
Sure, if you just type away, don't even bother to proofread and post a message full of errors, people will still *understand* (if that's all you care about, go for it), but subconsciously, they'll have concluded you're an idiot even before getting to the point of your message (that is, *if* they'll even ever get there and not give up halfway through).
If you want your readers to take you seriously, it's only common courtesy (or common sense even) that you take your readers seriously as well. The way to do that is to write an easily readable, well-written message.

These people you speak of are called forum warriors and they often just enjoy a good debate. People enjoy forums b/c it gives them a chance to express themselves or let off steam after a long day. Don't be so easy to offend and you can actually find a lot of entertainment and possibly even learn something. Everyone has their own side and you must be willing to listen to what the other side has to say if you are going to post in a forum. Keep an open mind, this is not a place to take too serious.

I agree with the people people telling you to chill out. In life, you will meet plenty of people you disagree with. Just deal with it. Nobody is saying you are a bad person, or that we don't like you, we are just having fun.

Also, you are a bad person and I don't like you.
