So, I've been playing now for a little while and have noticed that during a game, when a chat is posted in either the public or team window, it only seems to stay there so long as you don't close the browser. Once you log back in, there's no text unless someone had posted something while you were away... and even then it's just what was posted since your last access, not what was posted earlier. This seems to be somewhat problematic especially for multi-day games where chats can take hours or more to occur, based on how often a player checks the game. I've already had multiple times where I'd go on and read a response from a teammate, but the time difference between the question and the answers can be rather spread apart that it can sometimes be easy to forget completely what that person is responding to.

So, my question: Is there any way to maintain a chat history throughout a game so that you can scroll up and see what was said long before a reply ever came back? I mean, apart from copying and pasting the text into a separate word file or something every time something appears in chat.

In the chat window there is a button to the top right that says 'Show Older Chat'. It brings up the full chat history complete with timestamps and turn information. Not sure how much more information you would need...

Here is how you see older chat. You go to a game, you open the chat, you go to the x to close the chat box, then you move your mouse down a centimeter and you click "View Older Chat"

i don't know if anyone mentioned it before, but there is an "older chat" button...

In the chat box, you can click a button that says 'View Older Chat', which brings up any previous chatter.

When you are in the chat box, there's a button at the top-right: "View Older Chat." Pressing it brings up the chat memory.

But how can you bring back older chat when it's no longer visible?

What you need to do is simple.
1) Step out of your closet. No time for fantasy - or the other.
2) Open the chat box.
3) Cast your gaze to the upper right corner of the aforementioned box to find, gazing back, a button. This button is labelled 'View Older Chat', which means (in common tongue) "U can see teh old talkin stuff".
4) Click that mother hubbard.
5) Read the mundane drivel that you so desperately sought.
6) Go back to this thread and re-read it several times to truly appreciate the humour.

From my experience, you have to go to a button in the top right corner and hit view older chat. Other than that, idk
