Seconded. Clutters up the open game threads just as badly as the lottery games did and equally pointless.

Just deal with it. Plenty of people like diplomacy games. Even fridge.

I'm down for a hide diplo button. If people don't want to play diplo's that's up to them and they should have the option not to see diplo games in the lobby.

This is made complicated by the fact that some games include 'no diplo' in their name, which you don't want to be affected by the block, I presume.

It's pretty much the same with at the lottery games. If it is a diplo there should be diplo in the title, if not,there shouldn't.

I'm up for this idea, maybe make a uservoice so we can vote on it?

Plenty of people like lottery games as well, this isn't mindless hate against diplomacy games. This is making peoples lives easier without having a negative impact on those who use dipo games.

However, I think there are more urgent issues like having filters (and the ability to set as default) on the open tournaments page, that need addressing sooner.

I think the idea of having a hide diplo button is okay... But at some point it's going to get rather ridiculous with all the requests for hiding different types of games. Right now there's just the hide lottery, and it works fine. But if we're going to add more hiding options, there might as well be a system for game categories. Perhaps when you're creating a game template in the Basics section there could be an area for what type of game you're creating (Diplo, lottery, FFA, Competitive 1 vs 1, etc.), which could then be combined with a search/filter option in the Open Games section to allow players searching for a game to find what interests them more quickly.

perhaps it would make more sense to have several categories of games so people would be able to choose which ones to pay attention to on any given time. i have presented an idea for an islands/lobbies system of sorts to handle this, some thread in the past, not sure if i posted it up on uservoice then.

Yeah filters would be nice for open games and tournaments. I don't join 75% luck games so if I could filter those out it would be nice.

I think this option would only be productive if there was a clear definition of a diplomacy game. Some say any game where it is possible to have truces is a diplomacy right away.
