Hey guys,

Thought it would be interesting to see if there are any climbers on warlight, I know that Gnuffone was quite into it and had a few conversations with him about climbing in Italy and the via ferrata over there. Mainly I am into indoor bouldering (no ropes, helmet etc. just a safety mat).

I'm interested to see what responses I get, would be nice to talk to a few fellow climbers.

For those of you who don't really know climbing here is a video of Chris Sharma (arguably the best climber ever) destroying a route - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PP1AK1Aqis

That dude has ridiculous finger strength!

I do a bit of lame indoor top-roping from time to time, last time I tried bouldering was after a couple of hours of that so I did very badly.

Dan Osman.

He might not have done 5.15s but documented free climbs on 5.10+s and also - I may be a bit biased, cause as far as climbing is concerned it were his videos that me and my friends "grew up on".. Plus new world Disorder and a few other series, but those are irrelevant to the topic..

Oh, and add Alex Honnold to the list. Both imho at least as deserving to be listed at the top, as Sharma..

Hey,

I didn't know for Gnuff, we should've speak about that.
Personaly, I've been climbing for 7 years indoor mainly, and been some times outside.
I had to stop this year for some study related reasons but plan to get back to it next September for sure.
Could be nice to talk a bit :)

Top roping is alright nich, it is the first step towards lead climbing, and I would put that on the same level as bouldering, even though I haven't really tried it properly before.

And look at these guys, they are doing top roping and i wouldn't say what they do is "lame" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBi22AKvsK0

Fridge, do you climb often? And if so what kind of routes do you climb?

Haven't heard of Dan Osman before, but just searched for some of his stuff on youtube and it seems he passed away in 1998, which was before I started climbing. But he seems pretty good from the few things I've just watched.
