I found this game to be very interesting, after securing a bonus each the opposing team head south to my territory, each with a side by side army, I mean... they could of guessed I was very there but how? Is there a way to see thru fog in a fogged game that I'm not aware of?

They may have taken a guess that you were there (a chance, really, more than just a guess), or they could have gone that way as part of their expansion plan.

Either way, the reason that they went together is so that they could work together if they found someone. Their team was prepared for a fight by making it a 2v1 wherever it happened, while your team did not. That's a big part of playing a team game.

Alternately, depending on how skilled they are on that map, they could know the chances of running into someone in various positions, and had a better-than-average chance of hitting someone in or around Hong Kong.

In answer to your actual question, without a card to do so (Spy, Recon, Surveillance), then no, it's not possible to see through the fog.

I did notice that the red player on their team put a secondary start location on the same island that you started on. To me, that says he recognizes the location as a good place to start, which likely had something to do with their decision to move that direction.

I will note that several small bonuses exist in that area with some medium sized bonuses around it. It's a pretty ideal location to expand, so it makes a lot of sense to move that direction and cut off someone who might have started there.

Just for completeness' sake, this game did not use cards, but some other games do; all of the following cards partially lift the fog: spy card, reconnaissance card, surveillance card. If you're unfamiliar with them, there's [a page on the WL wiki](http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Spy,_Reconnaissance,_and_Surveillance_Cards) which describes them all.

Also, a much more obscure (and indirect) way to look through fog is with an AI. This is not really documented anywhere (Fizzer mentioned in once [on the forums](http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread.aspx?ThreadID=3423&Offset=0)), but the AI always uses normal fog to decide its moves. In order to (ab)use this, you'll require a thorough understanding of how the AI thinks. Gaining a clear benefit will probably also require carefully tuned settings.
In most games (especially the ones with normal, light or no fog and/or no AIs; probably a huge majority of all games on WL!) this is irrelevant, so don't worry about it too much.

Nah,

There are only a select few places you can start in East Asia with only 1 starting territory, and they all seemed to have been picked in your game. Them heading south was a good team plan, but mind you they didn't exclusively go south, they worked expansion too. Not directly mentioned, but cards also influence team play. Examples being Gifts and Lifts, could have brought your teammate into play to even the 2v1, but a lack of cards also means you can't get support when you are getting double teamed.

Another trick to knowing where your enemy is involves reviewing your actual starting places compared to your picks. If for example, you get your 2nd and 3rd starting spot, you can only assume someone else is in your 1st spot.
