I don't have adblock enabled or installed on any computers or networks.
I play from work and at home.

I followed the troubleshooting guide but it's the same both at home and at work, on any browser - 'oops, cannot display an advert'

You can see from my points history that this is only a recent development. You can also see that I've lost points from big FFA games which I could have really done with!

What's going on? I've tried everything!

I get the same problem sometimes. I have no ad-block, yet apparently "WarLight failed to display an advert". I don't have any form of ad-blocks, I get loads of pop-ups everywhere, so the problem is clearly with WarLight's servers. However, since I don't play for points/levels, I'm not that bothered.

Thanks Fizzer but that's the troubleshooter I was talking about.

Could using a VPN/proxy contribute to this? I just played a game this minute with my proxy disabled and I got full points from the game.

Is there a way around that? My VPN (Astrill) has its own adblocker but this isn't enabled for me. I don't know if this is the problem but it might explain it, although I've used Astrill with Warlight for a long time with no problems

"Try disabling any anti-virus or anti-malware applications to see if this resolves the issue" - from the link Fizzer provided

Do you think I'm an idiot? That is a completely stupid thing to do! Why are you advising people to do that?

Silly, do you really think disabling it for a matter of moments to test a trusted website will magically infect your computer? He isn't advocating turning it off for good, merely checking to determine if the software is the cause behind the reduced points.

Only temporarily to see if that's the cause and whether WL can be exemplified from the setting causing it. See your concerns though.

Damn your quick typing Sharpe.

Out of interest, what is your antivirus? I had a similar problem that I've just solved.

Try going into your antivirus and disabling the 'anti-banner' - then try http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?ForceAd=AFG if you still get the message, that wasn't the problem, but it might fix it - it did for me.
(I think mine worked as well when I disabled it, tried the link, then re-enabled it - but the ads continued to show (I think it basically reset or something).)

Just disabling the plugin on your browser wouldn't solve it though, it has to be done in the antivirus software itself.

That's what the issue was for me anyway (running Kaspersky anti virus), sorry if that doesn't help at all.
(Also, for some bizarre reason disabling the antivirus totally didn't work for me - I think it was still partially in the background or something, I only tried this by chance)
