Okay so while i'm testing my Big North America map i decided to make a gigantic world [map](http://WarLight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=13121). So please tell me what you think. i haven't did the distribution yet? Sp what do you think? The superbonus values are taking the number of territories and dividing it by 10. Then add one.

Why so many connections to Madagascar? Mozambique will be a nightmare to defend from Madagascar.

1. Why is it stretched out vertically?
2. There should probably be more Pacific Islands. Perhaps New Caledonia, connecting to New Zealand, Papua and Easter Island, and that connects to South America and Hawaii.

3. Split Xizang in China, now it connects to an ridiculous amount of territories. Have you not seen [this](http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Map_guidelines#Minimize_long_connections_or_drastically_uneven_territory_size) wiki page?
4. The USA divisions are a mess.
5. Mexico, Russia, DemRepCongo, Brazil, China, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Colombia, USA, Canada and France bonuses need splitting.

Ironheart, I have no idea where you got that silly information from, but Canada consists of 10 provinces and 3 territories, together 13 and not 14 or 18. He split Newfoundland and Labrador, making 14 territories in total.

Because of the [projection](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_map_projections) he used; my bet is on [Gall–Peters](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gall%E2%80%93Peters_projection). And yes, I agree it's ugly, but hej, he's gotta get a source map from somewhere, if this is what he found, so be it.

---

The bonus names "Czechoslovakia" and "Yugoslavia" seem a little weird; maybe you could change those to "Former ..."? The bonus name "Austria-Hungary" is even stranger; that's the name of a former empire, which was far larger than the current-day states of Austria and Hungary taken together.

In general, I think there could be a problem with the bonuses in South-East Europe. For instance, starting in Serbia or Macedonia let's you take two +1 bonuses in the first turn. Starting in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary or Slovakia let's you take one +2 bonus in the first turn, with another +2 in the next turn (if you're feeling risky, or playing at low luck, starting in either Austria or Slovakia can even get you both +2s in the first turn).

It looks like all your bonus values equal the number of territories. I propose that, as a basis to start from, you lower all of the small ones by 1, the medium-sized bonuses by 2 and the large ones by at least 3, maybe more. Regarding ex-Yugoslavia and the surrounding area, I think it might be a good idea to completely re-partition the bonuses. How about taking the whole "Balkan" area (which is NOT a synonym for ex-Yu, even though some people seem to think that) and split it in two or three parts.

I'm sure it's not, you can see that Russia is shaped not as flat as in the Gall-Peters projection.
After trying a few things on Inkscape(!) I conclude that this is a [Kavrayskiy VII](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kavrayskiy_VII_projection) projection, but scaled to be one-and-a-half times as tall.
