Your opponent realized he was firmly in the ascendancy due to having a big income advantage - 5 times your income. So he offered you a good game. You saw that to mean he was demanding surrender - he probably felt that you could tell you had lost and would surrender so he offered a pre-emptive gg.

He didn't brag per say - but then we know you like to use the strawman. He said to check the profile before throwing that around. Which is a valid place to look for an indicator of noobery.

Okay, here's what I thought:
I was just playing, and I thought we were of equal strength. Then, I heard him say "gg", commonly used when someone's surrendering. I was confused, and I asked for conformation. He replied with "lol" (translated in my mind as "muhahaha"), and then told me I was going to die. How can you take that as a positive reply to my confusion? I didn't knew about his two other bonuses, so I thought he was just trolling. I told him why I was confused, and he just said "what??" and then again "lol". I became pissed and called him an idiot. Actually, idiot is no childish insult, it's closer to constructive criticism than you think. It basically means I said he, or his behaviour was not smart, referring to his lack of explanation and capitals. And, if idiot is childish, does that make "fuck u, mothafucking bitch" mature?
Then he said I would have to spy him, which was indeed a good option, had I not been lacking spy cards. Then, "ahah", and then "noob". I then said I blacklisted him and with good reasons. He then aggressively implied I was afraid (from my point of view), just because I had been busy chatting, and hadn't comitted my orders just yet.
Next turn, he told (in bad grammar) his income and his (accurate) guess of mine.
Then I gave him credit for that. He replied with telling me to shut up (!?). And I added that he wasn't behaving properly, and called him a noob for that.
Then, he said his profile was so good he was free to demand surrenders and lack grammatical and social skills (again, from my point of view).
I said him he would die in the next round, probably from meeting a more skilled player.
He said "bye bye". I said him that stats don't mean everything (just because someone has had the time to play 1300 games doesn't make him a nice person, right?). He then again called me a noob, and I decided it was enough and surrendered just to end the game.

I don't really want to comment on the rude behaviour on both sides here, but I did want to say that the initial "gg" is a pretty annoying thing to do when you think you've won. That's a pet peeve of mine. Until there is a surrender, "gg" is only for the one throwing in the towel to say.

I don't mind "I got ya now, bro" or "you've had it" or "Ha! good luck now - how ya gonna beat my income of 543?" or even a VERY polite "don't you think it's time to surrender?", but I hate it when the winning opponent tries to declare the game over for you. That's what the initial "gg" represents. It comes across as pompous and pretentious. Every player, and *particularly* new players, has the right to decide for themselves when the game is over.

Moros, you took "noob" as an insult and then claim "idiot" is constructive criticism? Hypocrisy, thy name is...

Also, stop commenting on his grammatical issues, spelling mistakes, etc. It detracts from whatever worthless argument you initially had. Many of the people here are not native English speakers, and arguing against grammar, rather than the content of the message, is plainly childish and idiotic (take it as constructive criticism bud).

Finally, I'm not sure if you posted this thread while the game was still going (that is, you couldn't see his income), or afterwards, but my guess is afterwards. And if I am correct, that means you could have looked at the history, saw you had absolutely no chance of winning, realized that the "troll" of the conversation was actually, in fact, you, and then you could have moved on with your life. Instead, you posted a flame-thread, targeting your opponent, when, in fact, your behavior is the questionable one.

Moros, at least you contributed to the community in one way: you've provided insight into the thought process that allows someone to see the world the way you do.

Listen to the neutral observers, Moros. You might learn something about yourself.

i expected better of you moros for a 16 yearold+ you acted for like a 12 yearold even some 12 act better also the golden troll award goes to moros.

Trying to have a plain-text (no tone-of-voice, no intonation, no facial expression) discussion with someone whom you don't know, in a language which neither of you can call native, is difficult enough. Adding in the fact that apparently lots of people think one-liners without punctuation or capitalisation are perfectly legible (they themselves understand the intention, why wouldn't someone else, right??) and the fact that typing, especially when done properly, takes precious time away from the game... it's actually a small miracle people sometimes *do* understand each other.

By that logic, why shouldn't we interpret "gg" to mean "My dear opponent, it seems to me I have a distinct and crucial advantage over you in this game. Rest assured I will not consider it premature or a lack of fighting spirit on your part if you would opt to surrender at this stage."...?

Short version (of my opinion, these are not facts!):

- Neither of you are getting any medals for gentlemanly behaviour based on this game.
- It doesn't make sense to blame either one of you for the deterioration into a shouting-and-name-calling competition; that seems to have been caused by multiple misunderstandings on both sides.
- The reason everyone is shooting at you is not so much for your behaviour in-game, but mostly (exclusively??) for you posting this thread here.

Even shorter version (quite possibly a fact ;) ):
"Nothing here to see people, move along!"

Moros, I always thought you were better than that. You seem to be pretty level-headed most of the time, so what is with this example of immaturity?
