Just suggesting a rule change to whoever makes the rules; but I'd suggest not allowing booting when a multiplayer match gets down to two players. I just got booted from a game I was clearly winning (up 270 per turn to 150 opponent) and they booted me less than 3 seconds after I missed the commit. I already blacklisted him, but I think that this kind of play, where the only hope for victory seems to be booting the other player, shouldn't be allowed.

If anyone else wants to know, the players name was singlemalt.

Depending on the boot times, you might deserve to get booted if you're taking much too long.

I've had this happen to me as well. I was winning against a guy who had half my income. He booted me right after the timer went out (2min I think)I just walked away knowing if it takes a boot to tell me im better than so be it. He got blacklisted too :3

Kind of a false analogy, SNinja. I presume in your country, drinking on your 18th birthday is legal, therefore a cop arresting you for drinking would be illegal (unless you are abusing the privilege by doing something that's actually illegal).

What tavar is suggesting is more like showing up to work a minute late and getting fired for it. What he did was "wrong" in that he didn't get his move in on time/show up for work on time. However, the punishment in each of those cases is flagrant, in that he got kicked from the game or fired from work for a small infraction that didn't really merit such a major response by itself. Now if he was late in submitting moves every turn, or to carry on the analogy, was late for work every day, the punishment more accurately fits.

I don't think it needs to be coded in that you can't boot when you're down to two, because in that case someone who is losing could just never submit moves, and they could technically never lose the match. In cases where you're winning, I guess you just have to make sure you're ahead of the game in terms of making your moves.

So in that situation the only thing you needed to watch our for was getting booted, since that's the only way you could lose. Just do that next time. That being said, booting is a cheap tactic, but it's technically nothing wrong whit it. I'd simply blacklist and move on.
