if i dont get wrong u wanted to create a tournement with each team that rapresent a nation. how many players each team should have? if u tell me i can easily give u the list of good italian players that are willing to do it. a good map to play this tournement could be the enormous world one, and probably would be good to make it round robin.

Maybe quad earth or double earth of 4-7 players per team? I like this idea a lot, too.

I'm personally not a fan of either of the big earth maps both for cosmetic and imbalance reasons, but hey, that's just me.

Hi guys, thank you for considering me for that YTIGC.

My idea at first were competitive games.

So, the full idea is the following:

1. Each country must have X numbers of entries to be elegible (7 to 10)
2. We can accept double countries or regions as teams (korea/japan, ukraine/poland, benelux, south america and etc)
3. We will have 8 countries/teams, that will be the ones with most interested players at first season.
4. Of course we need to have to play round robins for each country for deciding the team.
5. The regionals i was thinking in a 1v1 strategic and 3v3 europe (the same player can play both).
6. 2 players qualify from the strategic 1v1, 3 players from the 3v3 europe.

7. In the nations cup each match will be Best of 9 games for each country, 4 games 1v1 (the 2 players from each country playing each other). 1 Game 2v2 (with the 2 players qualified from 1v1). 2 Games at Europe 3v3 and 1 game in a home template of each team (with the 3 players qualified from the europe 3v3 tournament).

Just to remind you all that i am brazilian and probably won't play.

Plz make the proper suggestions (or remake the thing completely).

I would want to be the organizer just for the sake of it, because i think i am doing a good job with the tournaments, but we can have multiple people organizing.

here is to prove that I have the idea a long time ago, and as i implanted the playoffs thing i was also planning the nations cup, and i was thinking in July, but lets do it now.


We can take the 2v2 game out (or one of the europe games) and have one of them a big game with 5 to 10 players, as mentioned above.
As I said, lets discuss it.

And to the players that want to "gather" a team for a specific country, i say invite them to the regionals, we want a national team with the best players of each country on it (at least that was my idea).

couple of things that in my opinion should be changed.. regional are definitevely a good idea but i still think that to do a kind of thing could make starting the real tournement in 2013, cos some nations have a lot of players (italy that is very small has at least 30 players) so doing a double round robin can take too much. infact since more or less we know each other i think that we still can find players without such a democratic selection. not to pretend to be the big decisor but just cos a real selective and democratic selection will take really really too long. another thing is that in my opinion games could be 4 1vs1 2 2vs2 2 3vs3 and 1 7vs7 that will worth not one but 3 victories, so that things could be more mixed up. more over i think that all the games and the relative settings should be arranged every time between the teams. plus i think that 32 teams can be made so that we should do a direct elmination tournement (south america west u.s. east u.s. spain-portugal england scotland-wales-ireland holland france germany italy poland scandinavian states (also denmark) balcans greece-turkey africa hungary-romany-bulgary-slovakia-austria ukraine-belarus-estonia-lithuania-lettonia russia middle east india north china south china japan-korea asian south east indonesia australia canada centre america plus 3 teams for the rest of the world anyway maybe dunga since u have a better english than me u should start a new thread with a different title so that we can discuss everybody about this
