And by huge I mean really huge. The goal is to achieve about 2000 territories.

Earth map is mostly water, so it's hard to get a lot of territories, but I think I can do that. Also, I've chosen the map that shows the distances correctly, so Antarctida, Canada, Greenland and Russia don't get ridiculously big.

This is what I've got: http://WarLight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=15102

Right now I've got almost 50 territories in the area that has 6 territories in the currently biggest world map, which has 450 territories in total.

Army numbers don't fit in some territories, but I can and will change that.

South America is somewhat a test - it holds 12% of Earh's land area, so it should have about 200 territories. But big part of territories will be islands that are enlarged, so I guess anything over 150 territories will do.

Other things about the map: there will be normal bonuses as well as strategic points known from my Europe map.

P.S. Could anybody remind that thing about big maps, because I cannot find it and I think I remember something about a need for special permission for really big maps because AI can't play on them. Am I right?

I don't know about any special permission, but I haven't made any huge maps yet so I could be wrong.
And how do you divide countries? There aren't a lot of divisions for Greenland, eastern Russia, Antarctica and Australia.

actually moros ,greenland is divided into 13 subdivisions and 3 divisions and the Asia map has a Russia of 200 territories he can borrow the svg and the Oceania map Australia has 84 territories he can borrow both svg countries.And it is possible to split antartica into 24 territories if he uses wikipedia.

Ironheart, because Greenland is so large (the same size as the Arabian peninsula), 13 territories isn't that much. Especially if you look at the amount of territories he uses for Argentina.
And the Asia map is very weirdly curved, so I don't think he could use it. And I checked Wikipedia, but I can't find the 24 regions you're talking about.

Greenland actually has an area of 1/9 the one that south america has. Which means, that if south america has about 200 territories then Greenland should have about 22...

Greenland only seem to be that big on the other maps cause it lays far north. I'm using that map: http://www.freeworldmaps.net/printable/simple-printable-world-map.png

Of course this one also doesn't show everything perfect, and it looks bad in New Zealand and Syberia, but it's still way better in it than the usual maps.

That's still about the same size as the Arabian peninsula, and the last one is easier to divide. And what about Antarctica?

Finished South America has 202 territories (though I may be forced to drop some of the territories if I won't be able to make them fit the army numbers in some other way.

Sorry for the double post: I've decided how the bonuses will look like:

Small countries, 8 territories or less - bonuses will give exactly 100% the amount of territories.
Big countries will be divided into bonuses that will give you 100% - 1 army. Also, there will be super bonus that will rise amount of armies too 110%.
Large countries (USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil, China, India and Australia, maybe Indonesia) will be divided into bonuses that will give you 100%-1 army, then regional bonuses will rise this to 100%, and the superbonus for whole country will give you 120%.

Ok, South America done and playable (though one last thing - I have to make army numbers fit everywhere).

Since it's playable I'm planning to make it public after Antarctida and Mezoamerica are added, and then make next versions of this map. That would eliminate the need for testing the map since people will be "testing" it while playing normal games.

I honestly think the map would be very playable with only two continents. And testing games are more handy because then you can discuss about the map more quickly than with feedbacks.

I saw your post about the bonuses, but you didn`t use this in your map :\
These are a bit weird.
French Guyana (2 territory`s, bonus is 2) <-> Apama and Roraima (both 2 territory`s, bonus is 1), I suggest make all worth 1
there are also Piaui and Ceara (3 territory`s, worth 2) <-> Guyana and Suriname (both have 3 territory`s, worth 3)
Those are all in Northern South America.

Here are some missing connections:
Sudeste Rio Grandense <-> Southeastern Uruguay.
Vale Sao Franciscano da Bahia <-> Sudeste Piauiense (Piaui and Bahia)
Sudeste Piauiense <-> Sudoesta Piauiense
Pernambuco West <-> Sudeste Piauiense
Alagoas <-> Pernambuco West
Alagoas <-> Nordeste Baiano

Read again what I've posted about the bonuses.

If you have French Guyana, that's small country. You get 100%.

If you're going for Brazil, that's large country. You'll get 100%-1 for each smallest bonus. If you manage to take whole region, you'll have 100% for that region's territories (sum up region bonus and small bonuses). If you get whole Brazil and sum up all bonuses, you'll get 120% for all Brazil' territories.

In simple words: going for big countries will give you less armies for their partial bonuses, but after taking whole country, they will give you more armies than small countries with the same amount of territories.

I think that's the perfect superbonus system. But will you also add continental bonuses? And if yes, what value are you going to use for them?

Ross Ice Shelf <-> Roosenvelt Island
unclaimed South Pole <-> New Zealands South Pole
West McRobertson Land <-> Lake Wostok

Will be, but not really "continental", cause there will be about a dozen of them, each containing 100-200 territories - I want them to be quite equal in size. They will be giving 20%.
