Lots of people with 65-80% 1v1 win-rate always stall until after you input your orders and then quickly move - and then whatever they did are the PERFECT moves against you.

Doesn't matter if you put in your orders after 20 seconds or 4:40, they wait and then put in their orders quickly. They all deny it but it is obvious. Why else would they wait every single time? And how else can they perfectly predict what you are going to do 100% of the time?

Also when I wait for them to put in their moves to make mine then its an even game. They will make mistakes. But some of them catch on that I'm doing this so they will stall all the way down and quickly boot me if I wait too long. They never put their moves in until 1 second left just to try to boot - because they can't win if they don't cheat!

Please somebody who knows this hack tell the truth so it can be fixed - it's not fair and it ruins the game.

Link won't give too much information since it doesn't say what time you submit orders to my knowledge.

Fizzer has repeatedly said it's impossible to hack the game. Perhaps it just seems like this to you after some bad luck.

Generally speaking though, the longer somebody takes to think about a move, the more likely they're going to be able to predict what you're going to do.

Try it in your next autogame, spend the whole 4 and so minutes trying to predict what the enemy will do, taking into account how much they've deployed and likely starting locations, and see if you can counter it perfectly.

and i'm curious to know also the name of the players.. too easy to say that "someone" is cheating.. anyway if a cheat like this really exists (even if i'm pretty sceptical about it) i think that they should have much better stats than 65-80.. but maybe u are right and i'm not :)

I think you are thinking too much about this problem. Sometimes when I am playing V or Chaos, it seems they know precisely what I am going to do. However, that is just because they are top-notch players, not because they are cheating.

Considering the very small benefits anyone gets from winning, other than the satisfaction, there is not really a good reason to cheat. Sometimes people manipulate bonuses or restrict open seats to under 100 games played, but this is pretty rare.

Just to mention, if you head under Nudge/Boot, you can click the "(speed)" link to the left of the player to see the speed of their last 10 turns even if you did not play in the game.

It could be that they are waiting to see how long you take first to get a guess as to how many orders you made. It is very important, but any information is better than none. They could also might be waiting for you to commit so that if you want to go back to change your orders you will be locked in to what you already submitted.

I have a few doubts regarding your claim people are cheating...

The way WL works, your opponent never even gets your orders. When the turn advances, they receive the results of your orders of course. But between the moment you click "commit" and the moment everyone has committed, they cannot see your orders.
People can hack their client (or spy on network traffic or whatever), there shouldn't be anything there. I admit I never actually tried, but Fizzer explained a few times how it works (and why it works like that), so I really, really doubt he'd completely mess it up.
So, this scenario can only work if the WL server itself has been compromised. While not impossible, I think that too is very unlikely.
If you're playing people on the same network (siblings, schoolmates, lan parties), some network sniffing would be possible, but that scenario is incredibly unlikely to apply when you're playing random strangers (were you??) and there's another problem with it anyway, see below.

Lots of people with 65-80% 1v1 win-rate always stall until after you input your orders and then quickly move - and then whatever they did are the PERFECT moves against you.
It's very subtle, but you're actually contradicting yourself here. If they wait for you (presumably to take a look at the orders you've just committed), then quickly enter their orders, that means they must've had their orders ready, waiting to commit (I don't understand why though). I don't think it's possible to see your opponent's orders, see what they're going to do, come up with the perfect strategy against it, enter those orders and hit commit, and do all that "quickly".

Scratch be trollin'.

There is no evidence to suggest any of this happens. I haven't seen anything strange like this either. I do know that the AI cheats, though. Whenever you play higher than normal fog with them (dense fog, for example), for them it will still be a normal fog game (they'll know the troops you have in adjacent territories even if there's no way of knowing). Haven't tested on complete fog, though.

@Darkruler:
A while ago (when someone else noticed this) Fizzer replied and explained the AI always uses the information it would have in a normal fog game (at the time, that information was not available on the Wiki, I don't know if it has been added since...?).
So on lower fog levels it won't have access to (or: can't make use of) the extra information, on higher fog levels it has an advantage over human players. Whether you want to call that "cheating", "unfair" or "part of the game" is up to you. :p
Fizzer actually proposed making a variant out of this (something along the lines of teams of one player + one AI, high or complete fog) to take advantage of it by having your AI be a kind of "spy" for you. GeneralMac said he wanted to do something with that suggestion, but I'm not sure if he ever got around to it.

dont forget that between your opponent finishing his move there is necessity to refresh the game. Sometimes its like a 10 to 20 seconds window.
Many cases you send the orders and start the next turn, because your game refreshes and now knows that your opponents had just sent his orders.

And you are a racist, whetever you say for generations to come in this forum will be invalid, you will need to change account for gain any respect again.
