interesting map setting. and a solid work. but why didnt you simplify your territories? That must have been a lot of work to seperate the overlapping borders - respect!^^ and as you ask for feedback; you could stretch your bridges, so they fit with the territory borders. and the surrounding dashed line looks a bit weird to me, like snails creeping around your map =) there are many chokepoints - that map might be hard to conquer but all in all it looks pretty good to me (no missing connections).
I did simplify borders but could not do more or it loses shape. Cant simplify a single boundary, unless you know how. Yes it was a lot of work to separate overlapping bonuses in some spots. The outside dash is to show the basin boundary (it is an actual watershed)
you can simplyfy manual - it doesnt effort much time .... simply set a frame with your mouse around spots you want to delete while you are pressing shift and delete them afterwards. but I guess that hint wont help you anymore^^
I just stumbled on this map today. I live in Michigan and the other MI maps are a little too boring. Can't wait to be able to try this with some other MI friends.
Great work on this one. Can't imagine how much time you put into it.
You can try it now, it is in testing mode. But, if I have to make a change on it (I have nothing planned), it will delete your game. So I suggest playing it real time or you run the risk of the game being deleted.
How can I test someone else's map? I went to your map's page but don't see a link to use it? I have created games with my test map but can't figure out how to use yours.
I went through about a week ago and cleaned up jagged borders. I will try and do that again. Deleting points would help a lot, I will do that. Will also make the file size a bit smaller.
On my template I am doing just that (changing the 1 for 1's to 0. I also turn the basin bonuses to 0 as well (Lake Superior, etc), otherwise you end up with two warlords in a bonus from the overlap if doing random warlords.
I am still working on the templates with some help from Gui and Sze, so I will post the links for those in the description portion in case anyone wants to use them.
To answer Jeck, no...I am still smoothing some boundaries out (eliminating nodes) and I want to get and/or implement suggestions made by Gui/Sze on the templates. Soon though.
