Eagleblast you are acting and being like an immature child. If a person cared enough to show interest for your event logic would suggest that you firstly take a good look at them and then politely decline if you think they wouldn't be worth it (such as an account made yesterday, that is clearly a newbie)

But no, you go and do not even take a close look at him, question his skill (rudely) and then quickly change stances. Not good from you at all.

@Reza I don't need to take a "close look" at him or anyone, that's why I put up "blanket-standards". I feel my first statement was a polite decline. I never questioned his skill. I said that the standards were in place because newer players TEND to be less skilled and have less knowledge of the game. I even continued to say that I didn't care in the least bit about his skill and that he was obviously a better player than myself.

I haven't personally judged anyone, that was the point of the blanket standards being used rather than my own judgement, so that the rulings of who would be allowed to join would be impartial and based on numbers rather than my opinion. If in your opinion that is a case of childish action, then I guess there's no more I can say about it to convince you, but from my perspective, there's nothing childish or immature about using blanket standards to weed out (potentially) unwanted characteristics. Is it immature to use "days on WL" or "Games played" as pre-reqs for open games as well?

We're still looking for players guys, we need at least 26 more. I've also only gotten two inquiries about being an Owner. We need 5 Owners, and I will be one of them if, and only if, we cannot get 5 reasonable people to sign up.

EagleBlast am I too new? This is my alt but I never use my main. My main accout had been around for 2 3/4 years.

You posted absolutely no requirements prior to me posting that I was interested.

Your opening post still has no standards of any sort listed. If it had I'd never have posted asking to join and you'd have saved yourself a lot of headache.

My opening post does have a link to the rules, however, and asks that everyone read them before posting. If you click that link, you'll see rules about who can join and who can be an Owner on page 3. Those rules have been there since before I started this thread.

For extra clarity, I will copy>paste them into the intro post in this thread.

So, you won't count my main account? I've been active in this site since August 2013. That has to be long enough. But I don't use my other account. It has become an alt and THIS is my new main.

Look, it's the same as with Good Kid, who also claims to be an ult. It's nothing personal, but I made a decision and I want to stick by it. That decision was to use the applying account's time and boot statistics to make a standard of entry. In future seasons, I could change this if it's a problem, but I try not to flip-flop on decisions.

Again, it's nothing personal, and I'd welcome your other account, but the truth is I have no way to monitor who is an alt and who is not, I can only take your word for it. Alts are also traded around often and have been discovered to actually not be who people thought they were in the past. I'm not saying any of these apply to you, I'm simply saying that's why the rule is the way it is, so that my discretion doesn't interfere with the process. This is the best, most impartial way for me to apply the rule, in my opinion.

I would also like to remind everyone that if your account is too new to join now, it should be old enough by the next season (hopefully there will be one :P), and you would be welcome to join then.

Oh, you needn't worry about next season. I surely will not be applying then. (Yes, I'm Good Kid if that wasn't painfully obvious.)

In fact, it doesn't look like you'll even get 40 players for season 1.

I do still stand by stating that any sort of filtering at all by you though is asinine. It should be chosen purely by the owners, if they don't expect someone to stick around or win games they don't draft them. That would have actually kept everyone except from me from being drafted most likely, whereas I'd have probably been drafted first or second by one of the teams based on whose shown interest thus far (not first or second overall, first or second round).
