I'm really new in the ladder so trust me when I say that my question is due to curiosity and not to critize people or to make easy sarcasm..
anyway in the 2 games im playing (since 2 games is a really little number maybe i was just unlucky) my team totally win the match like 5 days ago but opponents are still playing refusing to surrender..
so the questions are:
are ladder players very unfair?
or is there any advantage in making games last more?
or are we just unlucky?

from what i read there is no real advantage in delaying games on 1vs1 ladder or 2vs2 ladder. old games are withdrawn from the rating after a while, so people need to keep getting similar good results to hold/improve their rank, if they slow down playing their rating will eventually start to drop.

on seasonal there is a marginal advantage, you might not play all other players in the ladder, but that might work for or against you depending on who you've played.

feel free to correct me if i've written something wrong.

Some players will draw out ladder matches they are losing so as to artificially inflate their rating/ranking.

As ps points out above, the ladder games expire after 90 days. Therefore it is possible that these players are waiting for a loss to expire before adding another one to their record. This will allow them a temporary boost in ranking/rating, albeit undeserved.

I think some people just delay because they arent quite ready to start another game yet.

Lots of reasons to delay.

Sometimes when playing alot of games i can go into autowar mode, and just keep fighting - if my teammate is doing the same then it could be aehile before a surrender.

Unless your about to beat somebody precariously pn the top spot i doubt there is any bad intent :)

If you haven't eliminated them and they haven't surrendered then you haven't won. If you are anxious to start new games, add to your max games. If you're at the max already, exercise patience.

No, he is talking specifically about games that are surely won. I mean when team A has 50+ apt and the enemy is at +5/+5.

Yeah i know that games are won only when opponents are eliminated or surrender but since my team was so clearly winning i was asking myself if there were some reasons to delay games..
Anyway Richars Sharpe and the rp guys have answered my question:)

Some players do 'stalling', submitting orders just before they can get booted, and they hope that their opponent gives up Waiting and gets booted in the end, usually not effective, but iv seen it before. :P
