i just noticed that in the 1vs1 ladder the move order is set as random. Has it always been like this? I remember it being set as cycle.

It's always been random as far as I am aware.

Yup. I proposed an alternate setting (probably wouldn't be used for ladder) where move order is weighted based on previous move order. So something in between random (complete luck) and cyclical (no luck).

What are the specifics Chris? For example A: 50% B: 50% A gets first turn so next turn it's A: 25% B: 75% or something of that sort? (25% would be a little drastic)

Good idea chris, a similar idea could be implimented for attack and defensive luck.

My idea would be a %10 change each turn. So if you get first move on turn 1, on turn two it goes to 60/40 that they move first. If you got first turn again, it would go to 70/30, etc. If they got it, it would be back to 50/50. Or better yet, allow it to be modified with an amount (just like luck). That way you could slide the scale as much or little as desired.

This way there is still a great chance of going first a couple times in a row, but less so than just a coin flip.

Again, this would be an optional setting called weighted move order (and highlight the amount perhaps). I would love to see it on ladder, but I'm sure Fizzer would prefer to see it tested out first. Maybe best to do on a seasonal ladder first.

Okay, i guess i just mixed it up with the real time ladder where most maps are played with cycle order.

I like your idea Chris. Leaving the move order completly random kinda sucks. It puts a lot of luck in the game which can be very annoying
