I've been having trouble balancing the bonuses because of the blatant strategical advantages and disadvantages, any tips would be appreciated. I've been trying to make it so that you could still have a good chance of winning starting anywhere in the distribution.

If you see any missing links ect. please report.

I`ll help to test the map.

The bonuses, I can give some tips but those will point out in tests.

The lake looks like the best way to start but because of it`s connections to 7 territory`s that is OK.
Likoma can make it hard/impossible to complete the Northern Region. If you start with one random territory in Northern Region (except for Likoma) and somebody gets the Lake before you had the time to cross it, it will become impossible to get it.
That makes you need more strategy (I like it), but if you don`t want it you can put Likoma in the Lake Malawi bonus (maby give it a different name)

You need to split your bonuses into smaller ones, its hardly playable in its current state.

Would putting a route from Karonga to Likoma be a good idea? It's just I kinda want to keep the map in political regions.

I thought of splitting the bonuses into smaller ones, but I wanted to base it off an existing map and couldn't find one. Also, I wanted to make a map that is unique with a slightly different style of play.

Dedza <-> Mangochi missing

Holding Lake early looks like matchwinner, since you can go for every bonus from it while preventing every other, especially north one :/

Do you think it would work if I made the value of Lake Malawi something like -1?

That could work but then the Northern Region is even worse. you need to take a -1 bonus before you can get a bonus of 5, wich is still weaker than aal the other bonuses.

I'll change the lake to a -1 bonus and link Karonga to Likoma, do you think that would work?

...and also, do you think that starting in Malawi Lake would still be beneficial?

Like I said, I am aiming to make all the bonus sets equally advantageous to start in.
