Hi all
I know it's going to sound weird but:
I have been playing Warlight for about 27 years now, and i would like to become a member, not because I want the extra features or because I want to play the ladders (I will still have a go when I can).
I just want to say 'Thanks' to Fizzer, now that I can afford it, for providing me with so many hours (days, weeks?) of fun and for creating this unique game.
So what's the problem, you will ask?
I don't want the big blue 'M' near my name.
Told you it was going to sound weird, I could explain why, but hey, it just boil down to that.
Is there any ways of hiding LE 'M' that I am not aware of?
Help!

27 years? :)

no way to hide the m that i'm aware of, you can always ask for it as a feature request at uservoice although you might realize it will never be very high priority. :p

Could always buy a membership and put it up for grabs in a tournament. Would still support Fizzer but keep you free of the 'M'

However, if you want the benefits of membership for yourself and not just as a show of support then there is no way to hide the 'M' and nor should there be. I say this because members do have access to the statistics screens and thus have more intel available than their opponents, a fact that should not be easily hidden.

27 years was random. Good point Richard, I didn't think about that...
One step forward.

Hey, here's something else that's random! In exactly 3 days Major Lazer will celebrate his 18 month anniversary of joining Warlight.

Another random fact: 18 months is exactly 25 and a half years fewer than 27.

I'm really into this randomness thing: Major Lazer's approximation of his Warlight playing history was off by exactly 1700%. That's so random!

Looks like the M thing wasn't too bad then.

Have fun with the new features!

Statistic-Screens have more information than you could achieve by making your own statistics, going through every single turn?
I always thought those just safe time you'd have to spend if you're interested in those information :/

Members have no advantage over nonmembers in games. The statistics screen can be useful but it's just to save time...Any nonmember can learn the same things if they spend the time to.

jsa is correct in that there is no 'secret' information available. The statistics screen only shows that information that can be collected manually.

However, it saves the player the effort and time of collecting it manually and as such does provide an advantage in my opinion, albeit a slight one.

Most games are fog games, so the stats page is very incomplete. I like it best for after a game is over, to look at trends and see who fought who the most in FFAs.

In-game stats are useful? I've never looked at them and don't see how they could help me. More sophisticated ratings and stats for all games played, however, would be cool, to eliminate subjective arguments about who is better than whom (and to broaden the context of such an argument to something beyond medium earth 1v1s or #elite! stats).

there still are some players with #elite in their names, and thats all that a clan is about in warlight.... so it probably still exists
