Suarez got a 7 match ban for Otman Bakkal when he was at Ajax. He got a 10 match ban for biting Branislav Ivanović whilst playing for Liverpool. Now, he's bitten someone for the 3rd time. The world record for the longest ban ever is 23 matches, the ban for this bite needs to break the record by a big margin.

I think an international ban (UEFA and FIFA) competition minimally is in order.
If Liverpool had any guts they should also sack him (You don't want to be known as the "You never bite alone" team)

he didn't get elbowed, he was feigning injury so that the referee would see it as an accidental collision and not punish him. that's why he is a despicable creep, instead of a lovable psychopath like roy keane or balotelli.

^^ Also, I think he deserves to be banned from football. His fake acting was just despicable, and it's a 3rd time offence, those short bans clearly had no affect on him, and he continued to be an animal in the game.

And also, stoppage time is determined by the number of substitutions, fouls, injuries, etc. Throw ins and goal kicks are not considered in determining this time. However, it is the referee's discretion as whether or not to extend the stoppage time by a bit due to further time wasted during stoppage time. (This is usually agreed by the ref and his linesmen, and the AR)

And everyone that said that the US doesn't deserve to play 'soccer' is wrong. Despite the stupidity of changing the name to suit their own needs, they do play the rather well, and shouldn't be discriminated again. However, it is really really stupid to call football soccer, and then name your Federation, the "United States Soccer Federation." This coming for someone who works under that name.

Let's predict 1/8 finals
My guesses:
Brazil over Chile The Netherlands over Mexico Uruguay over Colombia (this one is very tricky, though) Costarica over Greece (it's very surprising that either Greece or Costarica will be in top 8) Argentina over Switzerland France over Nigeria Germany over Algeria USA over Belgium (hopefully, because Belgium showed nothing in the group phase, they only got great names)

If Brazil doesn't improve their game compared to what they showed in the group stage, there will be tears. Right now I'm thinking the Dutch will make it really far this time. Uruguay will slaughter Colombia (who needs Suarez anyway). Greece will outwit Costa Rica. Argentina vs. Switzerland could be an interesing game - it'll probably be a win for Argentina in the end though. France sends Nigeria home. Algeria should prove no match for a well-rested German team. And Belgium will get their shit together soon enough. You'll see.
