Hey good kid, most well known, Not top players, so kindly go fuck yourself :)

There's hardly a man on the forums that doesn't know my name. But, again.... I said INFAMOUS, not famous or respected. I put MOD on there to be nice, but who gives an honest fuck about this list? Is not anything serious, but you do NOT get to act like your opinion means shit. You spending your time improving at 1v1 to stroke your ego doesn't give you any status higher than my own. Your ability to act like a mature adult does that, but so far in this thread, I see none of that.

Second of all, I'd say Pulsey is def more well known than myself AND sze, so don't count him out. Hidden Hand/Righ have both caused major drama on the forums and Righ left a fiasco comparable to the Watergate scandal.

And finally, you are not better than me, but I find it so cute when you think you are ^-^

"Hey good kid, most well known, Not top players"

No shit idiot. They largely go hand in hand however and while you can argue those are not the 4 best players very easily, they are the most vocal of the good players. Gui trolled the forums as Lion long before you knew what warlight was.

Pulsey is definitely not more well known than Sze.

Sze was a well known player before you or Pulsey ever did anything of note, on or off the forums.

As for pretending to be better than you, go take your daily dose of risperdal since you seem to be suffering from a severe case of delusional disorder if you think I'd have to pretend any such thing.

Johnny Cash came before Justin Beiber.... Would you like to argue who's more famous?

When you came to the site does not determine how famous/infamous/well known you are. What you do, what you've achieved, what drama you've started, etc. Determines that. I would say Pulsey had started much more drama and the whole stalling thing amongst other notable things puts him ahead. Not diminishing what Sze has done, but he's stayed away from a lot of drama and stays majorly respectable. But that doesn't make him more well known. And taking a hiatus didn't help sze at all. While he was away, that gave pulsey all the more time to start shit with other people.

Cash is far more famous than Bieber.

Was that a serious question?

Bieber is a fad, like Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc. Johnny Cash will still be widely respected in 50+ years while no one will remember Bieber.

Wtf are you going on about now? Lion is a 15 year old Pakistani. Gui is most DEFINITELY an adult (And I'm pretty sure I remember he's from Thailand or something?)

Lion is not [UN] Lion, Lion was one of Gui's alt accounts before you registered on this site that was used solely to troll the forums.

This is Lion: http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread?ThreadID=4771

how well known a player is certainly has nothing to do with skill, well not to a great extent anyway

There are around 10-20 names that any forum regular would recognize, Lawlz, Pulsey and Sze included. Apart from forum posting, there are only 3 more ways your name can be known by others, through clan, common games or being top 10 in the 1v1 ladder, since it appears right on the dashboard.

Clan wise, I certainly beat sze and lawlz. I am co-leader of the biggest clan in WL, and the 135 members in my clan, most who dont check the forums, probably can recognize my name. Sze is in a small clan with only 20 members, many of which are already forum regulars. Lawlz is in a big clan but he joined when it was big already and doesnt hold leadership positions.

Fame gained through games wise, i'm not sure. Sze has played the most but he only plays high preqs games so gets the same opponents over and over again. I play low preq games so play larger range of players. Lawlz has played the least but he participates in FFAs.

Top 10 in 1v1 on the dashboard? Lawlz certainly isnt part of this. Sze and I aren't 1v1 ladder regulars. Sze may have a small advantage, having held #1 on real time for the last weeks but I"m not sure many check that ladder page and its a new ladder anyway.

So i think Sze, me and Lawlz are famous to around the same extent.

PS: thanks for the links.

He has a point though. There are probably more people who don't go on the forums and would not know Szeweningen, etc. For one thing, Sze and the others are loath to join any real-time games with low prereqs, in which to meet these non forumers. Fancy a Diplo game, Gnuffone? I thought not. To that end, perhaps people who regularly make large games are more well known to the bustling beginner branch or Warlight. Maybe someone like Weisblut. He had a dash of forum infamy in the past also. Many things to consider.

Irrelevant argument, Aranka. I'm talking about simple recognition here, 'well known' as in you simply know or recgonise the name, rather than know the player personally or to a large extent. Many don't listen to Justin Bieber's music nor know him personally nor care about what he's doing. Yet they all know his name. So he is very 'well known'.

This is a little silly to argue about I must say. But here's my opinion. The majority of warlight is on the open games and they probably don't know or care that there's a small minority of 'famous?' (wait...Really? this is a game)players amongst the forum. On the forum, sure call yourself well known. But you are just like everyone else on the open games.

Achieving well known status is another thing...example Lawlz sorry your not. You can be known as a failed annoying troll by some people, but by others your just forgotten about the next day. Really call name change, I like it.

On the forum its creating events, interesting forum threads and funny comments or arguments. Examples would include Sze, Gui, Pulsey, JSA and X.

Wrong. Take some time to actually read my bio, or look at the clan page.
Lawlz has played the least but he participates in FFAs.
Wrong again. I play mainly team games, but I'm not gonna lie. I rarely ever play real time, EVER. That's why my game count and level are so low. But what you're looking at are diplos, not true FFA's.
Top 10 in 1v1 on the dashboard? Lawlz certainly isnt part of this
Well of course not. I've said repeatedly that I find 1v1 MME tired and played out. I had considered buying a membership, but I'll probably never join the ladder again.
Clan wise, I certainly beat sze and lawlz. I am co-leader of the biggest clan in WL
HA! Omigod pulsey, you sure are hilari.... Wait, you're serious? Pulsey, nobody cares who the top clan is, or the fact that you have 80+% noobs who needed to only join a multiday chat game and say "I'll join" to recieve an invite.

generally or widely known
Yeah, this is the official definition. You don't HAVE to do anything of significance to achieve infamy on the forums, but it helps. You can say "most will forget about you", but you won't. I don't disappear like others. I'm here to stay.

Apollo, what you described is respected people doing fun things for the community. That doesn't count out other people. Hell, mysteryman does nothing, but he's one of the rare alts to do absolutely nothing of notice and yet people recognize his name and profile picture on the forums.

I would guess the percentage of people that visit the forums is pretty low. Even in my clan (which is very active), most of the players barely post on the forums.

I would think to the average warlight player, the most exposure would be seeing someone in random open tournaments. That isn't Sze and Gui types. They probably know more people from mid level clans than anything (Warlighters, REGL, etc) than upper level clans.

Another source of recognition is the points chart (not that it means a whole lot). I would guess random warlight players probably check their points often and see people over on the left side.

You evidently have no sense of humour. Wit is well timed.

Haven't read the thread, but I'm pretty sure that is another example of you missing humour again.

On the forum its creating events, interesting forum threads and funny comments or arguments. Examples would include Sze, Gui, Pulsey, JSA and X.

Totally agree Apollo, but by previously being an incessant troll, Lawlz became infamous. I'd say he became as famous as people like Sze (and definitely more famous than Gui in recent months) by being the biggest imbecile on the site.

Second of all, I'd say Pulsey is def more well known than myself AND sze, so don't count him out. Hidden Hand/Righ have both caused major drama on the forums and Righ left a fiasco comparable to the Watergate scandal.

First sentence I'd agree with. Second too perhaps (though I think I must have missed a lot of the scandal because I didn't notice that much drama). But to be honest, these 'scandals' weren't really that big a deal. There were other larger things that were followed by more people; more people and more respected people cared about them. These clan disputes are storms in a teacup. Back in the day, arguments, rivalries etc were a lot more entertaining.
